I don't like "if", but if Perkins could play, MTA was the davorite in the F4.
Right now, I think that it is 25% equall to all the 4 teams.

I'd say Pao are te favourites in this one, we could get to the final but I'm afraid we can't go one step further.. Losing Perkins is a huge hit.. We did kick Caja's ass but let's face it-we did it cuz the games were in Yad Eliyahu.. Unless suddenly Tal will be back to the pre-injuries days for 3 days we'll be just too short in the guard positions.

With all due respect PAO knocked out Barcelona without Maric and at last game without Nicholas and DD for entire quarter...
And the big minus for Maccabi (given that this will be the final) is that the only player who could give troubles to DD is out... also PAO knows every single way to face Big Sofo, especially mentally...
If you asked me after regular season or after Top16, I'd say Maccabi, or even Real Madrid, would be the favourites, but now PAO has got the upper hand, both physically and mentally.
Of course there are already scenarios of Maccabi withdrawing from Final Four entirely and Barcelona getting an invitation...

@Black Urum and anyone This is my first year watching Euroleague finals/playoffs. Why do they wait until May 6-8 to play the final four matches?

Well it's pretty much the thing but probably will be solved by moving it a few hours earlier-read in the Caja-Maccabi qf thread we talked about it

Calendar restrictions. Teams must catch up their domestic games and get some rest... it's usually end of April, early May... the Final Four dates are not fixed, it is decided by many factors like host city, TV, etc... every year.

Beside Valencia, and they are still here, all the 2nd place teams advanced to the F4, against home advantage!

Rumours are getting stronger than Maccabi will withdraw from Final Four entirely... although I don't want it, in case it happens, I want Caja Laboral there and not Barcleona, or any other team, with wild card...

How is this possible? Why would they withdraw? Will Maccabi be assesed any legal fines or sanctions because of the withdrawl? This is strange?

There's some sort of a problem with the final falling on the Israeli memorial day for fallen soldiers and terror attacks casualties.
Probably it will be solved (I hope) by moving the final a couple of hours earlier, you can read more in the Caja Laboral vs Maccabi TA quarterfinal thread.

I don't know if anyone noticed it but if Real Madrid reach the Final Four then it will be consisted by the 4 teams of the #2 group capacity of the first euroleague draw in the beginning of the season!! <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?!
They wanna do all that they can to give Barcelona ANOTHER chance even though they got outright outplayed by PAO?
If Maccabi does withdraw, the position should be handed over to Caja Laboral and ONLY them.
Still would be a massive shame if Maccabi had to withdraw because of this, of course other things are more important that sports, but I think the consideration of the EL has to be of the utmost seriousness and accommodation is made on their behalf, screw the TVs <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />

Then Maccabi don't need to play final 4. C'mon now the whole europe should adjust to one Israelien team. Oh please. Nobody is going to miss them if they don't play. How many other countries plays games on their "special" holidays. Man if you ask me thats BS. The time is set. If you are ready come and play if not then stay at home.
P.S. On final for i cheer for Obradovic. Not for PAO. Obviously i don't like the team of PAO. You have DD who is spitting in opponents faces and so called "beast" stepping on opponents heads. But i respect Obradovic and i cheer for him.
