The roster isn't that bad as some people think. I have no clue how good are Lucas and Hines though, because it will depend a lot on that. SG position also questionable, because GeceviÄius despite Rytas' experience is still pretty young (but I believe he'll be OK, while he started good in preparation) and I wouldn't call Pelekanos SG, he's there for defence I guess. Katsivelis, is he any good? Center position looks weak in my account.
But overall- Spanoulis, GeceviÄius, SOLID SF POSITION, SOLID PF POSITION make pretty nice team, specially if their mentioned black guys are good.

Is a good roster, can't argue with that, but their goal is the Greek championship(although they say they want euroleague too! <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> ) and in Greece their opponent is PAO.
A team with the greatest chemistry and a by far better roster.
*Yeah, Katsivelis is a very promising player. Very good talent but in the meantime he can't help Olympiacos, not even in Greek championship! <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/baby.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

The roster gap between Olympiacos and Panathinaikos keeps growing every year since 2009/10 season.
The C lineup Ivkovic built will burn in a disaster.

I have no idea who Kyle Hines is but Matt Howard is a good signing. He was excellent for Butler in the NCAA. You look at him and think that there is no way he is going to be good at basketball. Wrong.
He is kind of a scrappy player who does everything well and defeats the opposition without you really noticing.

I saw Howard in NCAA final four too and Iwas impresed! He's a very good player and he was the best of all his teammates in the F4! <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
But, so far he's the only player that has not satisfy Olympiacos with his performance so far. <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bag.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
He can't adapt in european style and they even think of the scenario to make him available only for euroleague and sign another player(who probably is familiar with european style) for Greece!

Oly is a good team..but with so many new personnel in their roster, they will struggle to make a final four this year.. Personally I hope they and Pao are in the f4, as it only catpults Hellenic basketball.. I'm pedicting a Pao championship and an Oly Cup once again..Paok and Aris to fight it out for 3rd position.. <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />

Which is useless since EL removed Greece's 3rd EL spot.

That's true Urum. Maybe EL did the right thing though. Our basketball at this very moment is in shambles. Absolutely atrocious, and I'm pissed off to the max. All the clubs bar the two, have MAJOR financial problems, and no way on earth can compete at an elite level at this stage of the game.. I also lay the majority of the blame at that pathetic Hellenic Basketball Federation 'ESAKE.' I'll leave it at that.. <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />
