That's what counts, the win <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />

Well we'll just have to come back again next year. All the big Turkish teams are loaded $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ teams this season, I am expecting at least ONE in the final four this season.

This is a lot of pressure though.

NONE will be there.
I strongly believe that. <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
The only way a Turkish can reach this year's Final Four is refs.
They don't have chemistry and they think money makes teams. <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thudown.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
The only team that has better chances than the others(of Turkey), is Fenerbahce just because they didn't change many players this year!

Galatasaray is the first team to qualify after 71-60 on Rytas..
Rytas was the better team early in the game, Galatasaray got back to the game by halftime, then Shumpert killed Rytas in the end of the 3rd quarter, it looked like the game was over but Rytas made a mini-comeback and it seemed like they can do it, but they couldn't hit their three-pointers..
So I guess that means Nymburk/Charleroi will be in the group of death, at least now there's a team for everybody to slaughter.. With Khimki/Rytas it could be a group with 6 teams that can all qualify.

You can't win Euroleague just by putting a lot of money! <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/baby.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Could it be that they target Langford? They have money, he doesn't care playing for a small team, and they may get hungry for more success, which Langford can help them get.. (This assumption is based on my gut feeling, nothing else)

I think it is tough luck for our teams to reach final four too. But this referee thing is really disturbing please stop it.

I am sooo happy to see my team (no only a Turkish team it is my team) in the euroleague. Well what can we do there ? I think top 16 is a target , top8 is a great success , final four is out of question.
However , you will see a good supporter group in the name of Galatasaray. If we can add a huge center to our rooster we can be very dangeros. Team is enjoyble to watch but lacks physical strenght in my opinion.
Finally ; That city of Vilnius was in our debt now it is paid.

I'm talking for the refs because every time they push the hosts! <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/crazy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Can't believe Khimki cut Langford in order to get Matt Neilsen and Chris Quinn... I know they can't help Neilsen being injured, but man... what a mess.
Nymburk killed themselves yesterday in beating Khimki, they had no gas today. Spirou deserved their win, crazy they survived a buzzer beater attempt in the horrible first game.
I get the feeling Gelabele is heading to Nancy, but if Spirou can keep him and he plays hard, they're going to be hard to beat at home, but in that group I don't know if they can survive. Am i right in thinking they would have gone into Group D if Rytas had won, as Galatasary were shifted into the other group to avoid playing Efes, another Turkish side?
Bozzi is a good coach though, and they deserved to win.

Maybe this is at last what is required for a Turkish team to make a breakthrough?

I don't know , mood is very important for Turks. If we can catch the wind we can do something. And it generally happens when we are underdogs. Other thn that. Well it is very early to say something I don't know. Fener can do something wiha teamplaying together for a pretty long time.

Well the conditions look ripe for Turkish clubs to reach a final four. It's high time, and with all that silly money thrown about, this should be expected as minimum I think.

I hope so, but every day I hear great nba players signing for major european clubs too. It will be interesting this year. Lockout's duration became very important.
