In one group can't play two teams from same country. So if Galatasaray get Euroleague spot. They will play in Group D instead of Group C.Also there is in qualifier B where play Khimki and Turow...

I am happy that Rytas gets to host the Qualification A tournament but from the business perspective I don't understand what the Euroleague is doing.

Why would they give up the revenue generation of the home and home series? I went to an Alba vs Maroussi qualification game a few years ago and the O2 Arena was packed. In the home and home scenario Euroleague gets additional games, additional fan interest and additional income. Seems foolish to deviate from that model.

If Rytas gets eliminated in the first round this tournament could back fire.

Talking of EL website, you can watch the game just for 2.90 euros. Make yourself a frappe, and watch it at home and it will cost you cheaper than going to a cafe.

God damn it, we gave Galata hell for three quarters but couldn't keep up with their quality in the end which cleaned the match for them <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mellow.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Mellow' />

So we had no upsets in the first round. This tournament format is great <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Blink' /> <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' />

You could argue that Galatasaray over PAOK is an upset but I would have probably given that game 50/50 odds. Good thing the big pay checks of Songaila and Lakovic paid off for Galatasaray <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/crazy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Crazy' />

Galatasaray's defensive stance in the paint gives SOS , other than that team is quite powerful. Depth of the rooster is another advantage for Galatasaray they don't seem very tired (except for Songalia). I wish the tournament was somewhere else, now we'll have to face the hosts.

They did actually. Lakovic was on fire today with 22 points (6/8 for three). Songalia added 18. <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Cool' />

Well we'll just have to come back again next year. All the big Turkish teams are loaded $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ teams this season, I am expecting at least ONE in the final four this season.
