It was unlucky compeition for us which resulted resignation of head coach Rimas Kurtinaitis. He was also unhappy with the organisation of the competition and accused Turkey cheating.

There's something undeniable in basketall: Refs help the home nation. Somehow I'm happy we will host the next Eurobasket
Countries like Greece and Turkey are unbeatable in home soil until they have reached an acceptable result, the semifinals or the final
When some years ago the Eurobasket was played in Turkey, Spain fell in their group. We had won our first two games and they had lost 1. If they lost to Spain, they'd be out. If they won, they'd top the group and have a bye for the next round. Of course they won a tight game, with a foul here and there, an unseen push for a rebound... the usual
We also had the luck of playing Greece at home in another Eurobasket in the QF. I think we lost by 5, though we were far better
As for the World Championships, we know Japan won't go too far even with help, so maybe FIBA this time decide not to mess around.
