Division B
#21
Good win for GB.

How many of Group B get into Group A and when?
You mean Division A and Division B, right? I am not quite sure how many teams qualify to Division A. I think it's either 1 or 2. All I know is that there is a series between worst Division A team(s) and the best from Division B. If there's obnly 1 team going up then guess there should some kind of play-offs between Group A and Group B winners to determine the best team in Division B and then it meets the worst team from Division A. I'll have a better look and update this if I find more details.

Another win for GB, this time over Netherlands.

Quote:Great Britain, fuelled by 27 points from Luol Deng, easily beat Netherlands 83-64 in the second of their Eurobasket qualifiers in Almere, near Amsterdam.

Deng had 18 points as GB built a 43-30 half-time lead and added nine more in a 27-15 third quarter for Britain.

Andrew Betts added 13 points for GB and Mike Lenzly added 12 as Chris Finch's team went top of qualifying Group B.

The team's next game comes on Saturday in Edinburgh, when they host Albania in their penultimate pool game.

Quote:Great Britain set up a key match with EuroBasket Group B co-leaders Belarus on Wednesday with a 110-78 destruction of winless Albania at Meadowbank.

Robert Archibald shrugged off his back problems to lead the team with 21 points and Luol Deng added 19.

GB led from the start, imposing their inside game on the Albanians to lead 60-40 at half-time.

The lead grew to 39 points in the fourth quarter as the team recorded their sixth win in a row.

Great Britain head coach Chris Finch can now look forward to potentially the biggest game of his career in Minsk against Belarus.
