Nice game between Olimpija and Galatasaray.. There were some funny moments like Gala player that passed to the ref and an airball threepointer by Lakovic that was far from impressive. Furkan was probably the best player on court, he did everything right and really impressed me, Varda was very good but did some stupid fouls that got him in a foul trouble and the worst one was in the 4th quarter, he was subbed in with 4 fouls and did his 5th after maybe 5-10 seconds (an offensive foul) although I'm not so sure that was an illegal screen..

Tactical Galatasaray destroyed Olimpija in 4th quarter. They just grabed what Olimpija offered them. We are a bad team and we won't see top16. It's really frustrated to be Olimpija fan. ŁoŁ <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

I'm surprised that yall guys gave us so many changes. I was more of a 30-70 or 35-65 cause we were playing in our house. Otherwise it's like 80-20 or 75-25 for Galatasaray.

If Varda used his fouls more carefully you could win.. he was scoring at will in the minutes he was on court.

Oly is sinking.. Their results are surprisingly bad, I expected them to be very different from last years but not that horrible. Top16 with no Oly seems possible now

It is Galatasaray's first time in the league that's why I gave olimpija the seed. There are very experienced players yes , but the team is still new , both to the league and to theirselves.

Mahmuti just did the simple thing that I was wondering from the beginning why he didn't. Create plays so Aldemir gets the ball down in the paint. Rest is history. I like this kid.

Maybe after PAO BC is bought by the Saudi prince we can buy him <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

Yeah. We had Thompson on him. 203cm. WTF?! Rothbart?! 217cm. For some reason on the bench. Aldemir really doesn't have much of a low post moves. He only has hook shoot. Put 217cm Rothbart on him and he will have hard time putting ball in the basket. They also put Gordon on Ćapin who was hot from downtown. And cause we were playing with Woodside (180cm) on PG and Ćapin (186cm) on SG. Gordon used his body and his game in low post on Ćapin. Easy two for Gordon. Also Shipp did a solid job on Green the whole time. Better team won obv.

A great victory for Maccabi, made up for the lost opportunity in the first game in Milan where we could also get the win but made too many mistakes..

Maccabi with a great team game, many smart assists finding the right players in the right places. Maccabi had a great contribution from the bench led by Burstein and Blu, James showed more confidence and did some good things on the court, Farmar was once again good but not as great as last week, he did too many mistakes today but I can't complain too much. Eliyahu had a nice game too, doing his job on offense and giving a solid defense and Sofo did his thing as usual, too bad he sucked from the line, he had some misses when the points were much needed.

As for Efes, in the 2nd Half it was Maccabi vs. Vujacic, at first it worked and got them back in game a few times with crucial threes but then his shots weren't falling and he didn't understand that and gave up on the ball but insisted on forcing himself on the game and that cost Efes the chance to get back in the last moments.

One decision of Blatt that I really liked was subbing Blu in with a few minutes left (2 or 3) after Efes tied the game thanks to offensive rebounds and bad execution on Maccabi offense, Blu took 2 important rebounds, was cold blooded on the line and with 14 seconds to go knocked the ball loose off Vujacic's hands. Just one of many great decisions by Blatt, another one was giving Burstein credit in the 2nd half, Burstein is far after his peak and looks bad most of the time but Blatt felt he's in this game and Burstein did his job with 7 rebounds in a game where rebounds were anything but easy to get, good job on defense and some smart decisions on offense.

This victory makes our situation much better but shows yet again how hard it would be to replace Farmar once he leaves.

Congrats, you played well and you have a good chemistry but team lacks something t be great I don't know what. Maybe they can not make rivals scared I really don't know.

Efes couldn't become a team yet , still I liked the struggle . Well Vujacic was cool but I believe he must be stopped either by tunceri or sarica sometimes, he looses reason once in a while. And another problem for efes is the fans , that team has intellectual basketball fans but they are not fierce at all. However if fener and cim bom (galatasaray) got eliminated and efes can keep on, then they will become the nt , and fan struture will change.

Barcelona , PAO, Maccabi and CSKA are obviously better than the others. Still I feel Maccabi is 4th of this four.

And Farmar is great.

I think this thing we're missing is the ability to finish a game when we have the momentum, I believe that once Langford will be himself again we'll have this thing, he's a player that can give us the much needed point production from the SG position.
