New format?
#1
Euroleague could have 4 groups with 6 teams in each starting from next season instead of 3 groups with 8 teams. The aim of this change is to reduce the number of games in the first competition phase. Teams will play 10 games instead of 14. Meanwhile the number of games in quarter-finals could be extended to 5.

Aye does sound better, will reduce the amount of group games which would be better for the teams I guess.

How many games are in the QF's atm?

Would it be the best of 5 if the plans go ahead?

Teams play best of 3 at the moment (until one team win twice). The idea of having best of 5 is considered so it would mean playing until 3 wins. I think it would be an advantage for the stronger team in the QF because it is really difficult to beat a stronger team 3 times. On the other hand it can be said that there are no weak teams in QF <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' /> There are always pros and cons.
