Luis Scola is a great player. Of course all we Europeans fans knew it, and so did some NBA scouts but he didn't have much chances to prove his value...

But now with Yao out of the picture for a long long time he finally has his chance to really shine... and he does it indeed... this was the 17th!!! straight win for the Rockets.

But if Luis Scola is shining what can we say about Manu Ginobili? He is simply amazing this year, the only year in his NBA career so far that he comes off the bench and he is easily the best 6th man of the league... what a true gem.
Respect and thanks for everything:

Alvertis, Bodiroga, Jasikevicius, Radja, Wilkins, Vrankovic, Fotsis, Rebraca, Kattash, Gentile, Koch, Middleton, Kutluay, Rogers, Papadopoulos, Becirovic, Tomasevic, Siskauskas, Pekovic, Lakovic, Vujanic, Chatzivrettas, Maljkovic, Spanoulis and many more to follow in the near future.

It's been a while since I've posted anything here. Love the new look of the site. It's fantastic I must say.

Yes, as a huge supporter of Argentina what can I say about how my beloved Albiceleste are doing in the NBA.

Manu GINOBILI has outshine and outplayed everyone in the Spurs roster and I'm glad to see Gregg POPOVICH is using him as a starter.

Luis SCOLA is finallly settling in the Rockets system and just look at the he has been playing in the abensce of YAO.

I've just posted an article on my blog about these mean machine and would certainly love to hear some comments from anyone here. Any comments are most appreciated.

And what about Carlos DELFINO? Finally he can say he has a team in the NBA and I thank coach Sam MITCHELL for having faith in him.

I'm a bit concern about Andres NOCIONI as his minutes has drop with the arrival of Larry HUGHES and Drew GOODEN. The same goes for Fabricio OBERTO.

I'm more concern about Walter HERRMANN as I don't believe the Pistons has any plan for him!!!!

soulheads I think that Ginobili was coming off the bench almost the entire season, haven't followed Spurs lately so I don't know if that has changed.

I think that coming off the bench was the best thing that could happen to Manu, just look at his stats:

31.5 minuter per game, the highest in his NBA career.

20.6 points per game, the highest in his NBA career

4.9 rebounds per game, the highest in his NBA career

4.7 assists per game, the highest in his NBA career

20.7 efficiency per game, the highest in his NBA career

I could go on forever...

He will be the best 6th man of the NBA this season, for sure.

Scola is doing great, but some cheesburger eating NBA "fans" criticize Scola for not dunking so much. They've been totally brainwashed by the media... Doesn't matter that he's really valuable for his team, the most important thing is that he doesn't dunk much... <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Blink' />

First Bulls game for the season, Nocioni gets 7 points + 3 rebs + 1 assist. I still don't get why he's not a starter for the team, he produces way less when coming off the bench. He has all the conditions to start and play more.

Walter Hermann played great last night against the bobcats.

I'll post his stats in a minute, they haven't posted the box score yet.

Quote:USA/CAN - Manu makes triumphant return after ankle surgery

MEMPHIS (NBA) - Manu Ginobili didn't lead San Antonio in scoring in their 94-81 win at the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday, but the fact that the Argentina superstar played 11 injury-free minutes was all that mattered for Spurs nation and his fans back in South America where he is a basketball icon.

Ginobili, who required ankle surgery after the Beijing Games, made his first appearance this season and scored 12 points.

"I'm not having the explosion right now because I'm a little bit out of shape game shape," Ginobili said.

"I've been running a lot, but the game shape is something that you get when you play and practice a lot."

Seven of Ginobili's points came in a third-quarter run that helped San Antonio take command for good.

"I think psychologically more than anything, having him on the floor and seeing him move around is going to be great for the team," Spurs big man Tim Duncan said.

"I know it's great for me personally because it is good to start seeing our team getting back to full strength."

Spurs coach Gregg Popovic said: "I just wanted to make sure we don't overdo it. He's too important to us."
