Saras leaving PAO for Maccabi is almost certain for the Lithuanian media, but Greek media insist that PAO and Obradovic haven't said the last word, that they very much want him still on the team. Stay posted, because bit by bit, PAO is moving to keeping much of the old core, Diamandidis signed, Spanoulis is very close, Pekovic is quite the unknown, but Saras apparently will be paid at least 1 million for the season.

I don't know if it's right or wrong information, but I don't think that Obradovic needs Saras, if he has Spanoulis, Diamantidis, Perperouglu and Kalethas.

Quincy has played NBA Basketball, led the Big East in scoring (one of the toughest conferences in the NCAA).
He is very talented without any connection to his stats at the Turkish league.

Drew Nicholas is far better than Douby is. Trust me on this.

If they keep Saras then Calathes and Verginis must be loaned to another team. Why even have them on the roster?

Here is a summary of what it says for Real Madrid.
Marco Jaric, Travis Hansen, Rimas Kaukenas, Morris Almond, Louis Bullock, Jorge Garbajosa, Vladimir Dasic, Tomas Van Den Spiegel are all out of the team. Axel Hervelle will remain on loan. Darius Lavrinovic will stay with the club, but if they cannot move Garbajosa to another club then Lavrinovic will be out instead and Garbajosa will stay.
Prigioni will stay for another year. Llull will stay for another year and they are working on a contract extension with him. Llull will be moved to the SG position where he played at the end of the year. Velickovic and Vidal will stay. The club will start building around Tomic.
The club's first free agent targets at the moment are Sergio Rodriguez, Andres Nocioni, Carlos Suarez, Ramunas Siskauskas, Trajan Langdon, Vassilis Spanoulis, and Nikola Pekovic. Signing Pekovic and Spanoulis will be difficult.

Obradovic said he wants to keep all player. So I trust he knows best, or at least better than any forum users.
Jasikevicius is his hidden ace, he said he wants to keep him for next season and give him the ball in clutch moments, like he did in SEF twice in the A1 finals. Like he did in the 2007-08 1st A1 final in OAKA when Olympiacos overtook PAO in the last minutes but Saras scored 7 points in a row in 1 minute and gave the championship to PAO.
Like he did in EL finals in Berlin and more. Of course PAO wants to offer him a smaller contract, Saras wants to stay over the 1m euros line, which for him is a matter of pride. But he knows he won't find any better place to play right now, not even in Maccabi. And he wants to stay in Athens, because he is having a Greek child in some months time.
Calathes will develope even further, I trust Obradovic on this, his players always shine best in their 2nd season at the club. The one who will have a problem is Verginis who, according to Zeljko, is having troubles at the defendings part of his game, which for PAO players is a crucial part.
@Roy M: Perperoglou is a SF. Tepic can be used as a PG too though.
Respect and thanks for everything:
Alvertis, Bodiroga, Jasikevicius, Radja, Wilkins, Vrankovic, Fotsis, Rebraca, Kattash, Gentile, Koch, Middleton, Kutluay, Rogers, Papadopoulos, Becirovic, Tomasevic, Siskauskas, Pekovic, Lakovic, Vujanic, Chatzivrettas, Maljkovic, Spanoulis and many more to follow in the near future.

According to sportevai.it Panathinaikos wants Jaaber. I don't believe it is true though. Panathinaikos will look to close all pending deals of the players currently in the team and then look for players from outside.
