Lithuanian media says that Å aras is training with the rest of PAO's players. Does that mean he is still waiting for Obradovic to change his mind regarding Å aras? Or is he planning to stay in Athens but with another team?

I don't believe that listing. Penney looks way bigger than that to me.

Jarvis Hayes to Maccabi???
Quote:Jarvis Hayes could continue his career overseas. According to the Israeli media, the 29-year-old forward has been offered to Maccabi Tel Aviv for the next season. Hayes, who has played during his entire career in the NBA, would be now in the list of candidates to join Maccabi, along with the New Zealander player Kirk Penney. In the 2009-10 season, Hayes averaged 7.8 points and 2.4 rebounds per game for the New Jersey Nets.

Saras will probably stay in PAO if he accepts 150,000-200,000 euros salary for a season. Like I said, there was no way he could get what he was asking for. I was thinking he might get 300,000, but as you can see more like half that.
Simply because he can't play more than 10 minutes now and be effective. Still, it's a very good signing for PAO at that money and they definitely did need another guard. Tepic and Calathes have both been terrible all last season and were also terrible at the World Championship. Calathes has yet to ever play well at the top levels. And since Olympiacos keeps adding more and more high level players, PAO definitely needed another good guard.

Great question.
I hope they will, but Blatt is chaking which one to release: Green or Foote.

I don't know why it's even a question
Green has back problem 60% of the year,he's expenssive, his contract expires next year and clearly not going to be renewed..
this year we have money problems..but we still have a VERY good team..it's the base for next season..if Foote will stay then we can run with this team for a whole year and next season we'll add 1-2 players(Halperin+?)
so yes..we'll have 7 foreigners but..we had that with Saras+Parker+Vujcic etc. and it worked fine! sometimes you need to give players a rest without hurting the team in the local leagues..so Foote is a great choice..
Green played against Italy and Latvia and said that his back is killing him...really? that's the kind of player we're having doubts about? <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />
like Gershon said about Mekel last season:''he can play 40 minutes every game in Galil and he won't earn as much as he will by practicing with Wiz..''
Foote can go on a loan but he can earn so much more just by being on the same team with Sofo and Hendrix..besides he can't hurt! he won't be good? he still won't mess up the game..FOR SURE!
but..just one question..when Benovic wrote that Foote will be released..does he mean that his contract will be terminated or that he will go on a loan? I hate it when reporters use the word ''released''..be more specific

It is not rumours, Olimpija is in talks with him for many days, about two weeks.
We should know soon...

That's boring <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' /> such a long story without any highlights (he stays in PAO after all). Any news in Greece whether he plans to retire after this season? Btw, his gf must be really stubborn not to let Saras move anywhere.

She's Greek. Greek women don't leave their families usually. Besides maybe the Greek national team wants the kid if it is a boy.

Jasaitis didn't answer today as he was supposed to...
He is probably trying to cash in Lithuania NT success in WC with a better offer...
I think chances for him to join Olimpija are now extremely slim.
