David Blatt anounced that Holden will retire from national team as well as the other half of the team. The team should rebuild and will try to qualify for London Olympics.

Will Blatt keep at the helm? Russia's participation was just too bad to be true imo.

I think Russia's performance in last Eurobasket was above their possibilities. Now they are showing their true level. My bet was fourth position in their group under Lithuania, Argentina and Croatia, winning to Iran and Australia (I failed in Aussie game).

Surely a deception for Russians, but imo not so bad, only more real than last summer. The question is, have they any youngster to rebuild the team?

In U-* categories people like Greece, Lithuania, Spain, Serbia are shining, but no Russians.
