Quote:Maccabi Tel Aviv, to replace D'or Fischer who underwent surgery, inked until the end of the season Aaron McGhee who left Ironi Nahariya few days ago due to financial problems. McGhee is most dominant player of the Israeli league with 17.1 points per game with 10.1 rebounds.
McGhee will play in Israeli league only.

Krepsinis.net reported that Allen Iverson cold move to Europe next season. According to their article, A.I. will most likely play in Greece. I guess it's one of those Olympiacos signing Kobe Bryant rumours...

First rumours for the two Greek rivals say that they both will be after Nikos Zisis of CSKA.

Speaking of PAO, does that mean that one of the PGs is leaving. Saras is obviously a favourite here.

I really have no clue. There is an obvious chemistry problem between him and Spanoulis. Another problem is his HUGE contract and his age. I also think that if Saras wins the Euroleague he will have won everything with Panathinaikos and will not have a high motivation for the next season, exactly like Siskauskas.
If PAO can sign a top player like Zisis they can 'sacrifice' Saras I think. If not I won't be surprised if Saras signed for another 1-2 years, with less money of course. After all, players like Saras are one of a kind and not easy to replace.
In any case, I hope PAO has a Lithuanian star in their roster next year, no matter who. I think Kleiza would be a huge transfer <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />

Chuck Eidson, Marijonas Petravicius and Mindaugas Lukauskis could all leave Lietuvos Rytas. The club is negotiating with a new PG who is prepared to take a cut in salary because of a chance to play Euroleague. Any rumours about this player in other countries?

Indeed. It looks like he will always have a guaranteed contract in Europe with Fenerbahce in case his career doesn't go well in another team <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />

He has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract. And yes, it's great. <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />

The controversial serbian center, Darko Milicic(2.13-C) made a comment once again that he would like to play in Europe and more specifically for the team of Olympiacos according to sport24.gr. The article says that Milicic made these comments while talking on tv station RTS of Serbia. He said that he would like to play in Europe and more specifically for Olympiacos because it reminds him of Red Star Belgrade and because the team has excellent organisation on all levels.
Milicic is currently playing for Memphis in the NBA where he is averaging 5.7 points and 4.4 rebounds in 58 games.

Welcome aboard stefans! I wonder if Milicic mentioned Olympiacos because he has some talks with them or was it just a random comment.

Thanks.
One more player from NBA considering to play in Europe. Its Marcin Gortat (2.11-C), a native of Poland, made just $700,000 this season. He is a restricted NBA free agent and the Magic can match any offer, but Gortat can sign with a foreign team if he chooses to return overseas. The Magic would retain his NBA rights.
"Europe is intriguing to us," said Guy Zucker, Gortat's agent. "Marcin would get a huge contract." Zucker said Thursday that teams overseas are interested in signing Gortat, but that Gortat's dream is to stay in the NBA, preferably with the Magic. He believes Orlando's "top priority" is to first deal with Turkoglu.
"Here's the biggest X factor: How deep are the Magic willing to dig into the luxury tax to pay Marcin?" Zucker said.

I love this type of stuff because it is just a long list of pretty good players playing in Europe at this stage
However Mumbru? lOPEZ? I cant figure why after this season but I think people like Eliyahu would be great for the ACB!

Eliyahu is seriously linked with TAU for a while now. If Maccabi can't match the offer of the Spanish club he should play in the ACB next season.

About TAU "grocery list", I thought that Maccabi's list is big, to me it look like a random list of good player's in Europe (and some not so good players...).
About Eliyahu, as a Maccabi fan. please take him away!!! Eliyahu is a great show time player, but he just doesn't defense, last game Eliyahu defense costed Maccabi the game when the player that he guarded (Devon Jeffreson) made a season high of 28 point's over Eliyahu (15 points in the first quarter). I over-react a little bit, and I will be happy if Eliyahu would stay in Maccabi, but his defense sometimes just driving me crazy.
I hope that Fischer will stay in Maccabi, for now he didn't fully recovered from his injury, but I'm sure that Maccbi will keep him in the next season, especially because he has a contract to next season.
BTW, Shanon Brown (currently in the LA Lakers) rumored to Maccabi.
