NBA 11/12 regular season thread

Last night, I watched Miami @ Charlotte and OKC @ Memphis!!!

Kemba Walker was once again very good coming from the bench.

Diaw was unexpectedly good in the first half but in the second half... nothing special.

Maggette was bad. But all the others played great!!!

When Henderson made the three pointer with not many seconds to go, to make it 95-94, I thought they'd win but unfortunately this b**** Wade made a difficult shot to win the game.

I HATE MIAMI. Crazy

Thunder vs Grizzlies was awesome!!!

Durant is a god!!! By far the best scorer in the league... and very clutch player!!! He proved with two big shots in the end.

Westbrook proved that he's unpredictable. One night he can score 30 points and the other night to score... nothing! Last night he had 0/13 FGA!!!! Baby Ohmy

Not only that, but he was forcing attempts even at the end of the game!!!

Just give it to Durant man!!!

From Memphis, Randolph just proved he's one of the best PF's in the league! He can do everything on offense!!

Gay wasn't very good but not bad either!!!

Fair win for OKC!!! Thup

Tonight I'll watch Dallas @ Oklahoma!!!

Ofcourse I want to see the Bulls but that's 5 in the morning. Sad But I'll watch when I wake up!!! Thup

I will also watch NY @ LA!!!!!

Can't wait!!!!!!!! Thup

I wanted the Bobcats to win last night! Kemba should have taken the last shot. Kemba for a layup or short jumper would have been perfect.

OKC is a young team. It was reported that Kevin Durant and Russel Westbrook were arguing on the bench.

Quote:Bucks won! You can't be too hard on them for losing that lead. The Timberwolves have a solid roster. That was a quality win.

It was an uplifting win and I didn't realize how much I missed the NBA before this game. With that said I would trade the Bucks roster for the T'Wolves roster in a heart beat. That's pretty crazy to think about given that David Kahn is easily the most incompetent executive in the NBA. I seriously question whether he even follows basketball. I don't understand his obsession with Point Guards but I absolutely give him credit for two reasons: 1) He takes a chance on young players that were in bad situations in the past (Darko, Beasley, Randolph) and he gives up virtually nothing to get them and 2) He never deviated from the develop through the draft strategy. He may have prolonged how long the Wolves needed to rebuild through his fantastic picks of Wesley Johnson and Johnny Flynn but his strategy always remained the same.

The 4th quarter to the Dallas vs. OKC game was amazing!!! We're in the first week of the season and we've already seen a classic! Vince Carter hit a 3 pointer with 1.5 seconds to go to give Dallas a 1 point lead. I expected Theo to go insane but Kevin Durant stepped up and responded with a deep 3 of his own at the buzzer to win it for OKC. If you missed the game, you must check out the highlights!

I can't believe how easily is Durant doing his things. F*ck LeBron, Kevin is the real king! Cool
#26
I couldn't f**** believe that Carter's shot wasn't the gamewinner... Ohmy

I was so happy that VINCE nailed it... but Durant showed that he's just amazing!!!

The best scorer in the league, easy! Thup

Bulls rock!!! Thup Cool

Ricky Rubio's fancy assist between the legs of Dirk Nowitzki for the 3-pointer. I can already say NBA fits him better!

Kobe Bryant became the youngest player in the history of NBA to reach the 28.000 points!

Is crazy that the record is almost 10.000 more than the 28.000!!! Mellow

2011-12 NBA.com GM Survey Results

By NBA.com Staff

Posted Jan 17 2012 12:05PM

The 2011 NBA offseason was unique, with free agency running concurrently with the start of training camps, which were abbreviated in order to start the season on Christmas Day. Once things settled down and general managers were able to step away from their phones for a bit, NBA.com conducted its 10th annual GM Survey.

Do the Dallas Mavericks have a shot at repeating as NBA champs, or even winning the Western Conference again? Is it time for Kevin Durant to win his first MVP award, or will LeBron James win his third? And if you were putting together an NBA franchise, which of the two is the player you'd most like to start with?

Those are just a few of the 57 questions NBA general managers responded to in our survey.

General managers were not permitted to vote for their own team or personnel. Percentages are based on the pool of respondents to each question of the survey, rather than all 30 GMs.

Neither laugh or cry. The question "Who is the best international player NOT in the NBA?" has a different meaning to GM than you or me. This is a GM (general manager) survey so they are "only" thinking of NBA prospects. In other words players that will make their team better and fit in the NBA. They are not simply selecting the best international player that is non-American. This is why Jonas V, La Bomba, AK 47 got votes because GM want those players in NBA. The question would be better stated; "Who is the best international NBA prospect not in USA?". So yeah these guys are thinking about who will make the team better not simply best player.
