Last 16, Week 4 co-MVPs: Timofey Mozgov and Kelly McCarty, Khimki

In one of the pivotal weeks of the entire Eurocup season, a rarity occurred in the MVP race as two players from the same team tied with the best performance index rating. The co-MVPs for Last 16, Week 4 were BC Khimki Moscow Region teammates Timofey Mozgov and Kelly McCarty, who were vital to their team's do-or-die 101-94 victory over visiting Panellinios in Group I. Mozgov came off the bench for 23 points on 8-for-12 two-point shooting and pulled 6 rebounds for an index rating of 28. He was matched by McCarty, a former ULEB Cup title-game MVP, who made 5 three-pointers among his 22 points and pulled 7 rebounds. Dynamo Moscow, another Russian team in the same group, had the next-best performer, Bostjan Nachbar, with an index rating of 27. Nachbar scored 21 points after halftime of a narrow win over Maroussi BC that and made Dynamo the first team to advance to the Final Eight in Turin, Italy between April 2 and 5. Three players tied for the fourth-best index rating, 26, with two of them moving their teams closer to the Final Eight with victories. Matt Nielsen poured in 19 points as Pamesa Valencia won a Group K nail-biter at home against Azovmash, while Damir Markota scored 23 to help Iurbentia Bilbao stop Group L rival Spirou Basket in overtime. They were matched by Billy Keys of Maroussi, whose 25 points and 4 steals couldn’t prevent a loss to Dynamo.

Individual highs: Chuck Eidson, Lietuvos Rytas, 8 assists

Nachbar not only had Week 4’s highest scoring total, 27 points, but moved into second place overall for the Last 16 behind his teammate, Travis Hansen (22 ppg.), who missed Tuesday's game. A key to Zadar's big road win at Unics in Group J, big man Todor Gecevski, pulled a week-high 11 rebounds, one more than his teammate, Hrvoje Peric. Yet another Zadar player who did not play on Tuesday, Deyan Ivanov, is the overall Last 16 rebounds leader at 10 per game. The previous MVP of the week, Chuck Eidson of Lietuvos Rytas steered his team to a key Group K victory at Artland with 8 assists among a near triple-double that included 17 points and 9 rebounds. A point forward, Eidson also leads the round with 6.25 assists per game. Spirou Basket got 6 steals from Dwayne Broyles, the most this week, in its heartbreaking overtime loss at Bilbao. Terrell Lyday of Unics is averaging a competition-high 4 steals in the Last 16. Nielsen of Pamesa had the week's most blocked shots, 4, while one of his opponents this week, Serhiy Lishchuk of Azovmash, leads the pack with 2.25 per game. The Zadar pair of Gecevski, who had 14 points and 11 rebounds, and Peric, with 16 and 10, respectively, posted the only double-doubles of Last 16 Week 4.

UNICS Kazan didn't make the next stage, what a great disappointment. And think they won all regular season games.

Welcome on board :welcome: Stick around.

It promises to be a close and entertaining game. Personally I would give a slight advantage to Khimki. They have a more complete roster in my opinion. But you never know what's going to happen in such games.
