how did Rudez play last year, I have seen him play in Belgium and he was very talented but has some problems mentally.

[/quote]

You won't believe, he showed some flashes of brilliance, it was clear that he's very talented, but he still has mental problems, he just can keep up with good plays, he isn't focused etc. Too bad. He will probably leave Olimpija.

Olimpija added a new player despite financial trouble. <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Blink' />

Union Olimpija signed Croatian center Jure Lalić (212cm, 1986) untill end of the 2009/2010 season. Lalić spent last two seasons playing in Belgium for Charleroi but he left the club in second part of this season because he was unhappy with limited minutes on court. In his last full season with Charleroi he averaged 6 points and 2,8 rebounds per game.

The Croatian center is well known to the Slovenian basketball audience as he played many years with Zadar in the Adriatic League.

FMP announced signing of Bosko Djokic as a new Head Coach. Djokic will replace Vlado Djurovic who parted ways with the club few days ago.

Bosko Djokic is coming to FMP from Radnicki Basket. He took over Radnicki in December and it seems his work was good enough to attract FMP's attention. Radnicki Basket had poor start in A League, but after Djokic took them over, the team managed to avoid relegation.

Bosko Djokic is not a new face in FMP as he led it to Adriatic league title in 2004. <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

He will play for free. At least that's a conclusion from Jure Zdovc's (coach) words, something like - he's full aware of current financial situation. He won't be available to play in NLB only in domestic championship.

is this becoming a trend? lazaros papadopoulos is also playing for free in paok

Quote:Bulgarian guard Filip Videnov has agreed with Serbian team Red Star the termination of his contract. Videnov, is listed as injured, but will likely find a new team to play for the rest of the season. The financial troubles of the Belgrade club is the main reason of his leaving. Nemanja Aleksandrov and Union Olimpija part ways

According to the coach of Union Olimpija, Jure Zdovc, Nemanja Aleksandrov is no longer player of Union Olimpija. The 22-year-old Serbian forward, who arrived last summer, would have left the team due to the financial crisis of the Slovenian club.
