Besiktas is the biggest sport club in Turkiye. Unfortunatelly key players are injured time to time. So the club can't take any achievement in this season. Besiktas is generally known as only a football club (but it is not true). The club has many sport departments too.

How's Mire Chatman doing? I remember he was unstoppable a few years ago with Dynamo Moscow.

I think he is an asset for BeÅiktaÅ. He is an unbelievable player. Still unstoppable too! <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />
But he used Cannabinoids. <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' /> He took a punishment.
In one or two months, he will be back. I am impatient to see him on 'BeÅiktaÅ, Akatlar Arena' again. <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />

BeÅiktaÅ lost the match against Erdemir yesterday.

Erdemir (69): Hakan KöseoÄlu 5, Erdal Bibo 12, Erkan VeyseloÄlu 8, Leon Williams 12, Mohamed Kone 4, Ãmit TürkoÄlu 8, Alex Gordon 12, Melih 3, Erhan 2, Emre Ekim 3
Chatman:was punished
Engin Atsür & Marque Perry: injured
Maybe the result wasnot surprised. We have no playmaker now.
But.. The woman referee drived me crazy in the match. My voice is still bad because of her comic decisions. <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thudown.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Nice photos <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Since the seats are visible in them I thought I'd ask what are the attendances in TBL? It seems that BeÅiktaÅ-Erdemir game did not attract many people.

If it is a derby or critical match, suppoters will come. But if it is an ordinary match like this, maybe 400-500 supporters will come.
For BeÅiktaÅ, we have a lot of reasons: bad management(coach and board), not enough quality roster etc.
But.. In Turkiye we have basketball lover cities. <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />
City : Team
Bandırma: Banvit
Ä°zmir : Pınar KarÅıyaka
Bursa : TofaÅ
etc.
BeÅiktaÅ, Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray have big crowd of people if it is needed.
Efes Pilsen, which has maximum 1000 supporters in whole country, is a big club. <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' /> Efes Pilsen is a beer trademark. The factory's workers, students come to Efes' matches generally. <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />

I see. It's a pity that none of the teams that come from cities where people like basketball have strong team in Europe.
How come Efes Pilsen has such a small amount of fans despite having a big budget and good players? Also their main sponsor is a well known name in Turkey which should help.

it was answered before. efes has no football department and as i assume football is way more popular in turkey than bball, it is hard for them to attract more fans. especially when there are big football clubs like galata, besiktas and fenerbahce who have bball departments too.
