According to this report Dwight Howard will be traded to the Los Angeles Lakers! The trade will be finalized today. It will be a four-team trade between the Lakers, Orlando,Denver and Philadelphia. Here are the players that would be traded if the deal is finalized:

The Lakers will Dwight Howard from the Magic.

The Philadelphia 76ers will get Andrew Bynum from the Lakers and Jason Richardson from the Magic

Denver Nuggets would get Andre Iguadala from Philadelphia.

The Orland Magic will get Arron Afflalo and Al Harrington from Denver, Nikola Vucevic and Moe Harkless from Philadelphia. Orlando would also receive a protected 1st-round pick from each of the other three teams

The Lakers get the center they wanted. I hope that Dwight Howard will sign an extension with them. It's sad to see Bynum leave but we all knew he would be traded if Dwight went to the Lakers. The 76ers lose their star and it isn't sure if Andrew Bynum will sign an extension with them. So we'll have to what happens. Denver give up two roleplayers and will get a player that could be the star of the team.

In my opinion Orlando didn't get enough. They get two veteran players and a couple of young guys to rebuild. I think it will take a long time to rebuild up the team because Dwight was their best player and their star. If they have a bad season they could have a chance to draft a new star but that's for the future

What do you guys think of the this trade?

It is a great deal for the Lakers, Nuggets and Sixers as all three teams are instantly better and the Lakers are the new favorites. It is an appalling deal for the Magic.

I should start by saying that I honestly believe this deal is better for Orlando than what the Nets were offering. The Nets offer was disgusting and people are giving the Magic a bad wrap for walking away from a burning pile of dung because they don't understand the value of contractual flexibility under the salary cap: Lopez on a max contract, Humphries on a 2yr $24m contract are both franchise crippling deals despite the fact that they are both pretty good players. There is no way that those contracts would help the Magic and Brooks is a bit of a meh player. Add in several picks that are certain to be late first rounders and that is a significantly worse offer than benching Howard all season, losing a lot of games, getting your own high lottery pick and letting Dwight walk for nothing.

So is the package of Afflalo, Harkless, Vucevic plus three first round picks which will probably be late first rounders better than the "let Dwight walk" scenario that I just described? Probably. Was it worth pulling the trigger on? No way. The Magic got spooked and sold short. End of story. Worst case scenario they could have easily gotten at least this level of value at the trade deadline if nothing better came along.

The truly mind blowing thing is that the Rockets were offering the Magic what I believe would have been a reasonable deal and the Magic turned it down for this crap! Unreal. The Rockets books were open, the Magic could have had Kevin Martin (expiring contract that they could have flipped for an asset) plus their pick of the litter from the Rockets young draft picks: Patrick Patterson, Marcus Morris, Jeremy Lamb, Terence Jones and Royce White. They haven't confirmed what the Rockets offer was but rumors I saw a few weeks ago had any two of those youngsters going to the Magic plus multiple first round draft picks (which have a fair chance of being decent picks). The only catch in the Houston deal was that the Rockets wouldn't take on any bad contracts.

At the end of the day the Magic downgraded their return in order to get rid of Jason Richardson, Earl Clark and Chris Duhon which are all better than Al Harrington's contract that they took on (well Richardson is arguably a push) whilst they still have Turkoglu's dagger of a contract on the books. This team is now more of a disaster than when Dwight was being a prima donna over the past two seasons.

Also, let's play a fun game:

This center was drafted by the Magic where he blossomed into one of the elite players in the league and a dominant big man. He led the Magic to the NBA finals where they lost to their Western conference foe only to leave Orlando for the LA Lakers. NAME THAT CENTER.

According to Marc Stein of ESPN, Dwight Howard could leave the Lakers when things don't work out with the Lakers. Dwight Howard knows that if things don't work out, that Dallas would love to sign him because they have the cap space. I hope that he signs his extension before the start of the season

Through his playing at the Olympic Games, Joe Ingles played himself in the spotlight of NBA teams. His agent has said that teams have shown interest in him client. But his agent has also said that Joe Ingles wants to play out his contract with Barcelona after that Joe Ingles could come to the NBA. Ingles has one-year left on his contract with Barcelona. What do you guys think? Would Ingles be a good role player in the NBA? I think that he would a good energy player of the bench. He's a decent player

Real Madrid could lose Sergio Llull to the NBA. Houston Rockets has been following since they drafted him but his father in the Spanish newspaper MARCA that Houston really likes his son and want to sign him to a contract.

Representatives of the Houston Rockets went to Spain to talk with Llull but he was still on vacation after the Olympics. After he's back from his vacation they'll talk with Llull. Llull's father said that Llull really love Real Madrid and it would be hard to leave team but he said that his son also really likes to play in the NBA so he think that Llull will consider the offer when the Rockets make one.

I think Llull would be a good player for the Rockets. What do you guys think?

Martell Webster has agreed to terms on a new contract with the Washington Wizards

The Heat also have attracted the interest of free-agent center Chris Andersen, who recently bypassed a lucrative European offer and is believed to be amenable to a Heat offer at the NBA minimum salary

If Houston doens't watch out they will have gone through the same situation that Orlando had with Fran Vazquez. Real Madrid offered a six-year extension to Sergio Llull because they want to prevent that Llull leaving to the NBA next summer. His contract stops at the end of the 2013/2014 season but Llull could come to the NBA next summer if a buy-out is reached

Llull wants to play in the NBA one day but Real Madrid wants to prevent this with a six-year extension. They are also trying to convince Llull that the NBA isn't good for him and that he should look at the situation that Sergio Rodriguez and Rudy Fernandez has gone through in the NBA.

I think that Llull could be good NBA-player. Sergio Rodriguez and Rudy Fernandez can still in the NBA. Rodriguez showed that he could be a good role player when he played for the Knicks. I think that Rudy could come back when his contract is finished with Real Madrid. I think that he would be a good player for the Phoenix Suns or maybe even the Knicks.

Tomislav Zubcic has given an interview to a website of the Toronto Raptors. In the interview he said that he would like to come to the NBA next year but he will need to improve from past season.

I think that Zubcic will be a good NBA-player in the future but he needs to play one or two more years in Europe and really stand out on the team. Maybe he could move to a Euroleague but on the other hand with Cibona he will get more playingtime

Allen Iverson wants to return to the NBA. He is going to talk with NBA-teams and work-out for them if they are interested in him. If he can't get an NBA-deal, he'll go and play in China. I hope that Allen Iverson will return to the NBA because he's one of my favorite players and he still can play

Brooklyn Nets signed Mirza Teletovic!

That's a really really good sign for the Nets! <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

There is a possibility, that their 2011/12 starting lineup will be:

C~ Dwight Howard(?)

PF~ Mirza Teletovic

SF~ Gerald Wallace

SG~ Joe Johnson

PG~ Deron Williams

That's sick!
Avery Johnson confirmed that Teletovic is not in his 10 man rotation. In fact he's been getting DNPs for Brooklyn lately. Not a good career move for him at all. Maybe he can secure a buy-out?

I don't think that Lakers would want Rondo as long as they have Nash, Thunder would never agree to a trade for James harden and Lebron wont go to Cleveland again in a million years buddy.

Bynum for Dwight makes the most sense of any of the potential trades. The Magic would get an all star center, which they wouldn't get in any of the other trades. If the Magic take any trade, that should probably be the one they use, I actually like the deal with the Nets, B. Lopez, is underrated and will learn to rebound better over time, he is a stud, and will be an All-Star next year.
