You think refs helped Spain agains Greece in that semis? You are wrong. Spain did not need help that time.. I watched that game, Greek players started dramatizing from the beggining of the game.

No, you didn't watch the game.
That's what can someone understand from what you say.
It was the most terrible refs performance in Eurobasket history.
They were a circus and they were playing like bitches...

I like the rankings. I agree with France, that's a good call. I think the odds that I like the most are Turkey and Spain. Yes, I know that Spain is the favorite but they are so loaded that I would give them a 20-25% chance to win it all.

Unfortunately and sad to say, Spain is way way above the rest of us. You might as well pronounce them gold medalists from this moment. There's no team in this tournament that's even remotely in there class. Lithuania might be able to give them a run for their money, and that's only because they have home field advantage.. <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dry.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />

I've said it before, Spain's gonna be in for it once Pau retires from the NT <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />

I hope so. I'm sick and tired of their cocky and arrogant attitude, period. They remind me of Team USA who have utter disrespect for all basketball teams on this planet.. <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thudown.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

To be fair, we haven't been in that position yet to know what it's like, we could perhaps have turned out like that if we beat Spain in the world final in Japan. What I can't accept is their support from the refs now that the Spaniards are running everything in the upper echelons of world and European basketball. Like I've posted before, the semi finals we went up against them in the 2007 Eurobasket, where they were flopping like bitches and we were getting barraged with unsportsmanlike fouls, technicals, etc. a downright fiasco that came to the point where the whole Eurobasket in Spain was designed to rest Spain as much as possible and run every other NT off of its feet.
Spain will lose their superiority complex once Pau and Navarro leave the team <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />

Well Pau has won NBA championships, he's been a world and European champ and Olympic medallist. It's hard to say that you or I wouldn't be like that if we were such gifted basketball players. I don't say I like the attitude, but at the same time I can understand somewhat where he's coming from.
Now Navarro? He doesn't 'fill my eye' either, and of course he's not as successful as Pau, but he has a bitchy attitude and can come across as quite an asshole at times, especially when he flops like he does, it takes away so much from his talent.
Nowitzki is all about what a German should be: hard, hard work! <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />
Excellent attitude, he never gives up on his country even though Germany isn't really that much of a high calibre NT. Mucho respect for him <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Are there any youtube videos about the general basketball camaraderie taking place in Lithuania? Anything that's a testament to Lithuanians craziness about basketball really! <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />
