Hopefully we'll see some surprises and some predictions will be wrong because it would be great to see some of the underdogs reaching the Final Four finally. As I said in my other post, Barca, Maccabi, CSKA Moscow and Olympiacos are the favourites of the respective quarter-final pairs.
Caja Laboral have probably the best chance of advancing among the "underdogs". If they can get at least one win in Moscow then these series might be really interesting. Splitter will be back for the quarter-finals, won't he? That should give some more power under the basket for the Spaniards. CSKA showed they are still a power in Europe but maybe it's time to not qualify for the Final Four? <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> 3-1 for CSKA.
Barca vs. Real could be a very entertaining series. Though Real are unpredictable this year. They can lose against any team and they can beat any team. Barca has been showing decent basketball and they are much more consistent. Plus the pressure will be put on Real to get results so unless Messina does something extraordinary, Barca should win the series especially since they have home court advantage. 3-1 for Barca
Sorry to disappoint you Hodael, but I will be rooting for Partizan. It would be a great accomplishment for them to reach the Final Four this year. Maccabi might lose a game or even two in Belgrade (whether it's in Pionir or Belgrade Arena) but again I think that the home court advantage will be crucial here. But it will definitely be very interesting to see two different style teams face each other. 3-2 for Maccabi.
Unless Olympiacos relax too much and give away one win to Asseco Prokom, this will be a 3-0 sweep. Oly is one of the favourites to win EL this year as they are even better than last year. Meanwhile Prokom surprised Europe by reaching quarter-finals but recently they're struggling in both EL and Polish league. Is it because they are already thinking about the quarter-finals or they simply lost their shape after a very good period, remains unknown.
I should also note that my predictions are wrong in probably 90% cases lol.
