I'm not the biggest specialist about the situation in Greece, but from what I heard the main issue lies on the government which is tremendously corrupt and bureaucracy just eating all the money. IMO, strike is good weapon to get the goals if the goals are reasonable, the problem lies not here. IMO, Greece should clean up their own political mess and if Greece really needs help from anyone, that should be political and ideological help. What comes to my minds, this is the result of corruption when private sector goes hand in hand with the government and too much trust of Laissez-faire leads to the nightmare for working class (regular people). That's pretty much the same in all countries ("democtratic") in the different sizes though. I would say, Greece should insist for clearer government system and to control the private sector more. I don't think Greece will go anywhere with just grabbing "financial help". As I understand their dept is tremendous.
