I thought someone would've posted about it already...
Well, they just played amazing. No doubt about that. The Lakers had nothing in them, didn't try, contest for anything. It was just a series of lack of effort from LA, some determination from the Celtics, and it led to such a huge point margin. The Lakers kept missing their shots, then Boston went up the other end and put them all in. They also got so many steals, most of this play-off finals series.
Before I wasn't sure on Rondo, I still don't like him but he had an amazing game. Seem to have more engery than ever, made things happen, hit some big shots and got more than 5 steals if I recall. Kevin Garnett showed again what a player he was by getting the most points, including a lot of rebounds. Pierce was more a play-maker last night, racking up a load of assists.
Anyway, just a great win and a great end to these finals. Celtics deserve it, even though I wanted LA to win.
Quote:The Boston Celtics secured their 17th NBA championship with a 131-92 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers.
Kevin Garnett scored 26 points and secured 14 rebounds in the game at TD Banknorth Garden in Boston last night.
The convincing victory meant the east coast team beat their west coast rivals 4-2 in the best-of-seven series.
The score fell just short of the largest margin of victory ever in the finals in which Phil Jackson's Chicago Bulls routed the Utah Jazz by 42 points in 1998.
