Don't you think that the slow pace game is better for Greece? Greece doesn't have that many athletic talent's for a fast game. even their athletic talent's (Vassilopoulos, Printezis and Perperoglou) isn't that good, I prefer Bouroussis, Papaloukas and Diamantidis (that play slow pace game) over this athletic players. Greece athletic talent can't match Spain athletic talent for instance, in my opinion it is better for Greece to fight against Spain with their best tool's - size, physical game and pick'n'roll - that are linked to slow paced game.

Vasilopoulos isn't playing either. Actually, I think he will be missed much more than Diamantidis and Papaloukas. Anyway, no I don't agree at all. Greece needs to use their scorers, shooters, and their athletic and quick players. And speed the game up. Now Spanoulis, Zisis, Perperoglou, Printezis, Fotsis, Tsaldaris, Kalampokis, Koufos, Calthes can be utilized properly or even used at all, unlike under Giannakis. The bad thing is that even Kazlauskas is ignoring players like Vasiliadis and Pelekanos (whom Giannakis did bring to the team but never played.) So even still the most athletic Greek player Pelekanos and the best Greek shooter Vasiliadis are still not being used.
But just adding for example players like Kalampokis, Perperoglou and Tsaldaris and releasing Spanoulis and Zisis from playing off the ball and standing around the 3 point line will help. Greece has a lot of perimeter players that can play fast, score the basketball, and shoot. They were never used. It was just let Papalouaks and Diamandtidis dominate the ball and walk it up court every time.
To be honest, Greece should have a much better chance to beat Spain without them. Now there will be more offense and plenty of big bodies for paint defense, post defense, rebounding, and shot blocking. Also there will finally be a great pure shooter to spread the floor with Tsaldaris, something Greece clearly always lacked and Giannakis would never add. That would kill Greece against teams like Lithuania and Spain before.
