For me, and probably for all Maccabi fans it's what we call here "Zalgiris miracle", Maccabi's down by 3, Zalgiris has 2 free throws and there are only 2 seconds to go, the player (can't remember what's his name <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='
' />) missed both but the clock didn't start running cuz the ref whistled cuz one of Zalgiris players entered the paint too early, it's Maccabi ball with 2 second left, Shelef (today in the club's management) throws a quarterback pass, Sharp cathces the ball and nails the 3 pointer on the buzzer, it's 94-94 and in the OT nobody had any doubts who's gonna win, Maccabi won the game ofcourse.
some background: the game was played in the last game of the 2003/4 season top 16 and the team that would win this game would get the ticket to the F4 but it was even more important than usual for Maccabi cuz this year's F4 was in Tel-Aviv and who would wanna miss F4 in their home town?
After that Maccabi made it all the way to the trophy including an unbelievable final with 118-74 on miserable Skipper Bologna.. and it all wouldn't happen without Sharp's huge three pointer, the big Saras-Parker-Vujcic team wouldn't be so great and remembered for a long time if not for this three pointer, probably a history changing shot for Maccabi.
