Vouyoukas is a 10 minutes player for a Maccabi calibre team. He already tried to play for a top EL club, Olympiacos and failed.
He is a good blocker, knows basics very well, posts well and is strong. But he lacks in character, he has weak mentality, very quiet guy. I would pick him over Lasme if I wanted to score more, if I wanted better defence I would keep Lasme.

he can shoot out to the 3 point line
Vouyoukas had 1/11 threepointers in both Greek A1 and Eurocup last season and with the line going half a meter back, Vouyoukas is not a shooting player.
Overall a good, honest signing by Maccabi, but don't expect anything more than 10-12 minutes, 5-6 points, 3-4 rebounds, in Euroleague games. And don't expect him to be a leader, he has no mentality for that.

MTA won't pay 850K to a young C. No way.

It's for two seasons, not one. 425K per season.
Unfortunately, the tax might be raised to 80% and if this does in fact happen as the government wants then the A1 will close.

No, the tax is about 45%. Just the clubs billionaire president are using creative accounting to b*tch about it.
For example players signs 1.8m contract, 45% of that is tax and it is about 800K euros.
But the president say, since he is getting 1M net and other 800K goes to tax, the tax is 80%. Well they are lying and think people are stupid...
The tax is 45%... not 80%, it's simple maths.
And no it will not kill nor sports and basketball. Greece owes 350 fucking billions right now and 15% of Greeks can't even get a 800 euros per month job right now. So screw players and presidents who b*tch about contracts worth millions. If government had balls they should make the taxes 100%, not just 45%. It is time for billionaires and privileges people like millionaire basketball players pay their dues and help out the country.
Greedy selfish bastards.
AND I REPEAT IT IS NOT 80%, IT IS 45%
