LeBron isn't god. You must not think that USA is weak because of that some players won't play for them. They have so many good players who can beat every team in WC.

Quote:Llull at least one month out

After a week's conservative treatment on Sergio Llull's left foot, it seems that the Spanish international will not avoid the worst.

Llull will have to stay out of action for at least 1-1.5 months due to a fraction in his left foot. He is however expect to make a full recovery just in time for the WC 2010 prepearation with the Spanish NT.
Respect and thanks for everything:

Alvertis, Bodiroga, Jasikevicius, Radja, Wilkins, Vrankovic, Fotsis, Rebraca, Kattash, Gentile, Koch, Middleton, Kutluay, Rogers, Papadopoulos, Becirovic, Tomasevic, Siskauskas, Pekovic, Lakovic, Vujanic, Chatzivrettas, Maljkovic, Spanoulis and many more to follow in the near future.

San Emeterio new candidate for Spain NT.

Quote:Aside from a blunder at the end of Game 2 in the ACB play-off finals at Barcelona, Fernando San Emeterio has done more than enough to merit consideration for a spot in Spain’s national squad for the FIBA World Championship.

Other than Brazil internationals Tiago Splitter and Marcelo Huertas, no player has been more important in this season of transition for a Caja Laboral team that last summer lost vital players in Pete Mickael (Barcelona), Pablo Prigioni and Sergi Vidal (both Real Madrid) than San Emeterio.

The 26-year-old’s play in Caja Laboral’s wins in Games 1 and 2 was nothing short of outstanding.

San Emeterio’s play has led to calls for the 1.97m forward to be included in Spain’s squad for the FIBA World Championship.

"I'm not thinking of the national team,” San Emeterio said.

“I'm only thinking of winning a (ACCool title that would be very important for me.

“Without a doubt I would like to, but I will have time in the summer to talk about this.

“I try to help my team and then it's the national coach that will decide."

Quote:San Emeterio and Oleson new faces for Spain NT

Spanish National Team selector Sergio Scariolo has announced the 24-men preliminary squad for the 2010 World Championship featuring two new faces, that of Caja Laboral's San Emeterio and Brad Oleson.

The two players led Caja Laboral to an epic 3-0 sweep over Barcelona in ACB finals and their performance did not go unnoticed.

The full 24-men squad, from which only 15 players will continue after July 21, when Spain NT begins its summer cap, is the following:

Pablo Aguilar

Carlos Cabezas

Saúl Blanco

José Manuel Calderón

Victor Claver, Rudy Fernandez

Gabriel Germain

Jorge Garbajosa

Marc Gasol

Sergio Llull

Raúl López

Rafa Martinez

Alex Mumbrú

Juan Carlos Navarro

Brad Oleson

Felipe Reyes

Berni Rodríguez

Sergio Rodriguez

Ricky Rubio

Victor Sada

Fernando San Emeterio

Carlos Suárez

Juanjo Bunting

Fran Vazquez

As it was known before, Pau Gasol will abstain from WC2010 in order to rest. Spain will face Canada, New Zealand, France, Lebanon and Lithuania in the first group stage.

Spain is certainly the team which needs naturalised players <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dry.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Dry' />

Seems that only Lithuania and Greece are playing without naturalised players.
