Euroleague 2010/11 attendance stats
#1
You can see a FULL sortable table @ In the Game

I just copied the average attendance for this season (in 4 games so far)

Some basic conclusions:

1. Euroleague attendances are up 19,8% from last season and attendance/capacity ratio has increased from 57,51% (09/10) to 68,24% (10/11)... which takes us to #2

2. Main reasons for #1 IMO: Fenerbahce is behind attendance rise (from 1000 to 115000) and no Maroussi is behind ratio (300/18500)

3. Real Madrid and Barcelona amongst Top3 in average attendance numbers fall from last season. Lietuvos Rytas is the other.

4. Fenerbahce and Efes Pilsen in Top3 of attendance increase since last season. Other one is Olimpija.

5. Milano and Roma amongst Top3 who fill their arenas the less. Other one is Real Madrid.

Looking forward hearing your opinions.
Respect and thanks for everything:

Alvertis, Bodiroga, Jasikevicius, Radja, Wilkins, Vrankovic, Fotsis, Rebraca, Kattash, Gentile, Koch, Middleton, Kutluay, Rogers, Papadopoulos, Becirovic, Tomasevic, Siskauskas, Pekovic, Lakovic, Vujanic, Chatzivrettas, Maljkovic, Spanoulis and many more to follow in the near future.

As aspect of attendace.

Prokom,Khimki and Cibona they don't deserve to compete in Euroleague.

And Alba Berlin for sure they deserve. With 13.000 fans in O2 Arena.

It seems that new arenas is a factor indeed. Efes Pilsen, Fenerbahce and Olimpija all play in new arenas.

Zalgiris' new arena will have a 17.000 capacity afaik.

They got the attendence for the PAO game wrong in Ljubljana, there was actually 13300 people at the game, they added more chairs.
