Oly and Bourousis are only maybe 300K apart. 400K at the most. I do not think they let him get away for such a small amount as that. I think they negotiate hard to keep all salaries from escalating. We will see Bourousis with Oly again next season at least I think.

it really doesn't make sense letting him go for 300k. But real is luring in the corner. Some rumors have surfaced that pao may be interested in him, but i regard them as utter crap after what happened with the "10 days" and all ps: welcome to the forum

I can't understand what taking Oly so much time to close things with the guy. After paying Bilions on bilions of euroes on Childres, Macas, Papalukas, Halperin, Vujcic and basicly throwing money anywhere they could so a few thousends of euroes is what stoping them from signing their best C???
Jun 19, 2009, 4:23 pm
maybe they're trying to get rid of childress first??

many rumors say so. but i doubt it
trying to get rid of Childres by not paying for Bourousis?
actually trying to get rid of childress' contract. To have a better view on their budget. who knows? In any case letting him go for 300k will be plain stupidity

I guess Oly is paying the price for their last seasons moves which concludes on spending too much moeny. They invested too much and got non in return, basketball is not profitable spport in europe. I think even with Oly great resources they having difficulties (I'm just guessing) : they still jave problems with Macas, huge contract of Papalukas, Vujcic, Childres and others are way overpaid and thats burdensome the team resources in a way which make life difficultes for them this summer.
I don't see Real do so well in their 1th year, even with Messina and high budget.
With Novica in team ??? ACB title is a minimum, f4 probablyââ¬Â¦ <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

ESPN reported that Nick Calathes asked PAO to release him from his contract. He changed his mind about playing with them - supposedly because he will not receive any playing time.
Damn, Olympiacos fans must be so pissed right now, Childress getting 4.5m euros, Vujcic 2.2m and their president who promised gold when he took over the club being chip over a couple of hundreds of thousands euros for the best free agent?
Doesn't make any sense. If Real Madrid lands Bourousis and Velickovic we will have another Messina-Obradoic final.
Childress gets 4.8 million euros.

It is not official yet, but the story just came out that Oly and Bourousis have agreed on a 3 year, 5.1M deal.

And .... he stays!!
Giannis Bouroussis accepted the 5M offer for a 3 years contract or a 2 year contract worth 3.3M. Last night after a 6 h long negotiation Bouroussis said ''yes'' and he will continue to be the Center of Olympiakos for the next 2 or 3 years... Freddito's confirmation..! Have a nice day!!
