Garbajosa could return to Spain
Unicaja seeking to rejuvenate the team with Freeland, Velickovic, Suarez and Ribas. looking for a star PG and negotiates the renewal of N'Dong, Cabezas and Jimenez.
About Garbajosa, any sources? links? This is very interesting.
And what about the star PG? Is it that Terrell McIntyre rumor?

It's just a rumor as of Garbajosa and Unicaja. About McIntyre, no Spanish media said nothing about it.
Any news about Velickovic?

The name velickovic has not been heard in many days now. Maybe something top secret is cooking. He has been linked to Unicaja, Panathinaikos, Olympiakos, Maccabi and CSKA so far. But it is safe to rule out olympiakos (since novica himself said he would never go there), CSKA (with the new situation i doubt they will be focusing on him), and maybe even maccabi cause there are other candidates rumored for this position that are more likely to happen.
That leaves Malaga and Panathinaikos in the game, but from what i have heard the greens have not really negotiated with him. Meetings are taking place these days in pao's administration to set the next transfer targets. I am guessing that rumors about pao's moves will start popping up the following days. Let's see what happens

Marijonas Petravicius is attracting interest of Barcelona, Pamesa, Benetton, Armani Jeans Milano, Asvel and Maccabi. Out of that list only Asvel made a concrete offer so far.

Hi! Freddito calling
I want to talk about olympiacos' power forwards and the non-existing rumours about them.
Printezis is the only real quality pf without back up and his contract's expired!!! !! And oly only seemes to be interested about PGs, combos and tower-centers!!
namely holden, parker, lavrinovic , glyniadakis, zisis, saras(???) and others!!
I expected that this transfer season I would hear about smodis, andersen, mensah-bonsu, kirilenko, haislip, teletovic or at least andre hutson!!
I don't know whether oly 's gonna buy any pf or not, I only know that giannakis has a poor strategy about transfers and he's only there to say yes man! to the presidents.
THANKS <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

They are probably waiting to see what will happen with printezis. There was also the rumor about velickovic, but it was grounded by the player himself. Lavrinovic can play PF too. Anyway there seems to be an abundance of pf's right now, i guess they will go after one

Freddito calling!
OLY surely won't sign Novica. Obradovic won't let it happen. Either he will sign him or he will do everything to block this move!
Giannakis should understand 3 simple facts:
1) The best free agent is JR Holden and he should grab him!!! He seems to comprehend it....
2)Without a killer-SG or SF a team can't survive in big matches!
3)The EU-players should be over the average of the best Greek player (for example Erceg is not better than Mavrokefalidis and
Teodosic not much more useful than Papamakarios)
About 2) Olympiacos has spoken since May with the manager of a great European scorer with NBA expirience and that's for sure.
Some said that his tranfer is already complete , but that's not for sure....
About 3) It's absolutely up to who substitutes whom! If Erceg leaves and his replacement is Smodis, OK. But if it's not Smodis, Teletovic or Eliyahu for example the season will end just as horribly as the previous one...

Velickovic himself has stated that he would never(!!) play for oly, so obradovic doesn't really have much to do with this. Velickovic is closer to unicaja right now anyway.
1) holden is 32 years old though...
2) The scorer you are refering to is Stojakovic, and firstly i don't think that will happen, secondly he has permanent injury issues and i doubt it is a good move
3) If Messina signs with Real and if Smodis is to leave CSKA it is more likely that Smodis will follow Messina rather than sign with oly.
Don't forget that Real will have a huge budget as well this year, maybe even the biggest.

Is that player Stojakovic? <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' /> Why don't they try to get a player like Rakocevic? He had the best season of his career and there are no rumours about him.

Freddito welcome to TB. Are you an Olympiacos fan?
I agree with you on JR Holden. Teodosic is going to Roma as I hear, on loan.
It would be difficult for Olympiacos to get Smodis and impossible to get Teletovic because he has a contract until 2014.
suricata: Don't be so sure about Smodis following Messina.
Respect and thanks for everything:
Alvertis, Bodiroga, Jasikevicius, Radja, Wilkins, Vrankovic, Fotsis, Rebraca, Kattash, Gentile, Koch, Middleton, Kutluay, Rogers, Papadopoulos, Becirovic, Tomasevic, Siskauskas, Pekovic, Lakovic, Vujanic, Chatzivrettas, Maljkovic, Spanoulis and many more to follow in the near future.

I surely don't mean Stojakovic!! I agree with suricata about Peja especially about injuries. But I honestly don't mean
Peja.
JR Holden is 32. Right! Jasikevicius, Papaloukas, McIntyre , Kaukenas, Siskauskas almost, Basile is 34, Bullock, Prigioni and so
many
others! I would sign each and every of 'em!!!
Rakocevic is 31 too...... <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />
Yes I am an OLympiacos fan....

Ok i though you meant pedja.
From the names you mentioned only the following are PGs and thought we were talking bout PGs: Saras, Papaloukas, McIntyre and Prigioni.
Saras won the EL at that age but he had diam and spanoulis with him
Papaloukas made a duo with holden at a younger age to win the el alongside other great players
McIntyre hasn't won the EL and neither has Prigioni
I can only assume oly's goal is the EL and stay on top for a long time. Imo bringing holden will be good as long as you will have some other younger pg following him. You should hope teodosic will evolve that way or find another top prospect.
Holden would be a great signing, but only for a couple of seasons.
Anyway oly needs some perimeter force to open up defences and a solid power forward in case printezis leaves

I totally agree about the needs in Oly's perimeter. Holden , Papaloukas, killer SG + 1 US combo + Childress is the perfect perimeter for Olympiacos. I also want ask about CSKA this year... Why are they decreasing the budget? Are there any financial problems? And Maccabi exactly the opposite!! And... Do you really believe that a player like Velickovic could join Unicaja?
Holden is still an agile player with excellent 5m shot. and about Saras...He made it the half of the season without Diamantidis... He is still on top. Just like McIntyre. The fact that McIntyre hasn't won the EL yet has nothing to do with his quality and value. How many times has Macijauskas won the EL? Delfino?Ginobili? Scola? Who 's better Vujanic or Prigioni? Vujanic has done it! De La Fuente too! Kalaintzis too!
Thanks
awaiting for reply bout CSKA and MACCABI

Lol! going into that discussion about who's won the euroleague or not is indeed pointless. I guess i mean that holden alone won't solve oly's problem. Oly desperately needs 3point specialists.
About CSKA's budget, their main sponsor shut down the money flow due to financial problems. There's an article about it in talkbasket's main page under the euroleague news section.
Maccabi isn't really increasing their budget. It will be about the same. They make relativelly cheap good moves. Will they get them to the f4? Nobody knows.
Of course Unicaja can sign such players. Have you seen their roster? Have you seen them play? Haislip? N'dong?
In other rumors:
Efes pilsen after Rakocevic
De Colo in Valencia
Langford in Khimki
Teodosic in Roma on loan
Jimenez renews with Unicaja

I' ve seen them live in Pireaus against Olympiacos. I'm a really big fan of of Haislip and Kelati. I should admitt nonetheless Ndong doesn't impress me so much... Of course if they land players like McIntyre and Velickovic I won't wish to see them against Oly in Pireaus...!! On the other hand I think CSKA would be an easier opponent.
Maccabi is building a trully powerful roster....!! And if Halperin returns..

It is very likely. It is supposed to be anounced after the eurobasket.
N'dong had a great 2nd half of the season, especially in the playoffs. He turned quite a few heads and now many teams are interested in him, even nba

Maccabi signed Eidson and Wisiewsky, agreed with D. Lavrinovic, D. Bluthental and A. Anderson.
Rumours about Lampe, and today S. Mizrahi, Maccabi chair-man said, that "it will be big surprise untill end of June".
He didn't say a word about, but the rumours are running since then and mostley is "Saras".... (no way, I think, that it can be...)
