Well...we only have 2 players, so yeah. haha I think we'll finish 5th-7th this season after all is said and done. We need to plan for the long term, not for the short term like Klein enjoys doing so much.

Kokia and Simons are official now in Jerusalem. Shason newr to sign.
#62
Ironi Ashkelon put them self on the edge of being the 3rd best team in Israel (after MTA and Haifa) with the signing of Omar Sneed (33, 1.99) the BSL MVP last season.

He is joing Baxter, Tolbert, Gray, Marsh, Rot, C. Watson and Davidi to a great roster in the south of Israel.
#63
Kevinn Pinkney (26, 2.07, C) will play in Hapoel Migdal.
#64
From what ive heard yesterday, also Dijon Thompson has agreed terms with Hapoel Jerusalem.

very very good two signings for this club.Pinkney is very talnted PF who has very good attacking skills.

Dijon Thompson is very attractive SF(also can play SG) .a true scorer.was waived recently from the Wizards camp.i think that he could have signed for a better team than Jerusalem.but at this time of year you can find good players.i think Jerusalem hit the Jackpot with those two signings.

Also Yogev Ohayon will be there next year

Thompson was announced in Israel. Excellent signing for Hapoel. He and Simmons should form a very formidable perimeter attack (though that combo will be problematic on defense). It looks like either Sasson or Thompson will have to play some 4 this season though, if Thompson, Pinkie and Simmons are to start. Unless Gudes plans on starting Kukia at the 4 and Pinkie at the 5.

Is Ohayon a done deal?

How do U know that he is an Excellent signing? Pinkney is indeed very good, but Thompson who's never play in the top level? With or Without Ohayon (Overated), no PG to Jerusalem and no defense.
#67
Isiah Victor (31, 2.06, PF) in Rison Letzion.

I've know Thompson, he's an excellent player. The Ukranian league is nothing to sneeze at and he did well there. I see no reason for him to struggle in the Israeli league (which isn't the top level itself).

As for Ohayon, he's a solid defender and there's no better option than him on the market as far as Israeli point guards go...Tapiro is too old and personally, I can't stand his style of play. With Ohahyon Hapoel would have on of the best point guards in the league. No defense, though, is true, and is a big problem.

Ohayon did nothing since he was 19... He has no shooting (even not from the line), just good passing. He wasn't and he will not be the best PG in Israel.

Thompson can be good signing, I don't know enough, but Baxter from Ashkelon or Eidson/Anderson, are not seing him from yard.

Ohayon's shooting is terrible, but his defense is good and his passing is solid. How many point guards in the league are better than him, would you say?

Baxter and Eidson/Anderson are better than Thompson, but I didn't say he was the best at his position in the league. Still, he's a very, very good player.

I think that Tapiro (despite his age), Mekel and Roth better then Ohayon.

Thompson is a good player, but I can't understand why Benovic was enthusiastic and excited from him with a huge titles...

Two big problems in Jerusalem: Rebound (Pinkney is not enough) and PG.

I agree with Tapiro (but in a year or two Ohayon will be better, if only because of Tapiro's natural regression) and Mekel...Roth is questionable, he has a tendency to disappear sometimes. Even if all 3 are better, I'd be satisfied with Israel's 4th best point guard.

Thompson is a good rebounder and should help Pinkey, but yeah, Hapoel don't have a true center in the paint.

If we can make some comparison to last season, so Ohayon is more or less equall to Roth, Bowers better then Simons (because he has lot of rust), Thompson much better then Powell, Lions+Pinkney less then Sneed+Watson and Kokia just a bit less then Markovic.

Any way, according to the time pressure, it is the Maximum in Jerusalem.
#75
Jan Martín, who has an Israeli citizenship, signed with Elitzur Yavne, from the 2nd division.

The taller player in the league will be Bamba Pol (23, 2.15, C) who signed in Afula.
