I like the Kaukenas signing for Zalgiris. He can still compete at a high level and its nice to see him end his career in Lithuania.
I'd love to see Songaila end his career in Lithuania but rumor has it that he's trying to make his way back into the NBA. That seems optimistic but I know his wife and kid are still living in North Carolina so it makes sense that he'd like to be based in the US. Zalgiris and Rytas would both be a huge upgrade over Vallodolid in my opinion.
Also, Kobe said that he will consider playing in Europe for a year after his NBA career is over. He mentioned Italy, Spain and Turkey as options. In my opinion it would be a shame to see him on a non-Italian team (unless he wants to play for Rytas <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' /> )

I totally agree with you on Kaukenas and Songaila. Kaukenas can still compete at a high level and I think he'll be a key player for Zalgiris next season. Songaila is playing well at the Olympics and I think that he would be a good signing for Zalgiris. But like you said, he could go to the NBA. He has said that he wants one more shot in the NBA.
I don't think Kobe will play in Turkey. If he goes to Italy he will probably play for Milano and in Spain his choice would be Barcelona. He has said that he could go and play in Europe a year after his contract with the Lakers ends but I don't think that Jerry Buss will let this happen. Kobe will probably retire from basketball as a Los Angeles Laker

Steven Smith has left Panathinaikos. He'll go to Virtus Bologna
Stratos Perperoglou also has left Panathinaikos. He has signed a two year deal with Olympiacos.
Real Madrid is interested in Stephane Lasme, who also has an offer of PAO
Joventut has signed Tony Gaffney. Corey Fisher is going to sign with them. Eduardo Hernández-Sonseca is linked with a return to his former team.

Panathinaikos lands Charis Giannopoulos
Real Madrid announces Dontaye Draper. He has signed a two-year deal. I think this is a good signing for Real Madrid. He a good player and he will fit in well with their other guards

Draper is a very good player, but I doubt about his chances around Rodriges, Llull, Fernandes and Carol.

I'm really happy about the Giannopoulos signing!
He's probably the 3rd-4th best Greek SF and he's one of the best young Greek players! <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
I liked that! <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I think that Draper will split time with Rodriguez at the point, Llull and Caroll will split time at the shooting guard and Fernandez will likely play at the small forward. So I think that it won't be a problem for Draper to get playing time.
I don't know much about Giannopoulos but from what you are saying Teo, it sounds like he's a good player. Panathinaikos isn't the team that it used to be. I hope that they still can get a star player

Rumours have it that Panathinaikos is about to make an offer for Fotsis for 5.5 million euros for 3 years! <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
PLEASE MAKE IT HAPPEN!
Although, he ain't a free agent so I don't know what they'll do with Armani. What will we give them?!
EDIT: PAO offers 500.000 to the team and 5m for 3 years to Fotsis.

According to reports, Milano wasn't the only one who rejected the offer of PAO. Fotsis also rejected the offer to return to PAO.
Virtus Roma has agreed to terms with Phil Goss and Ade Dagunduro. Virtus Roma will maybe get more Nigerian players. Alade Aminu has been offered to the club and Roma is also interested in Ekene Ibekwe
Victor Sada will probably sign a 4 year deal with Barcelona.
Obradoiro signed Salah Mejri
Shaun Stonerook has announced his retirement
http://www.euroleague.net/news/i/99197/1...retirement
David Andersen will likely sign a two year deal with Fenerbache
Caja Laboral will sign Carlos Cabezas to a one-year deal
Malaga is interested in James Gist
Jaka Lakovic will leave Galatasaray

It could be a rumor. The Italian newspapers are saying that Fotsis didn't wanted to return to Panathinaikos. But it's normal that the Greek media is saying that he wants to return, they want to give the fans hope that he'll return. Maybe Panathinaikos can convince him to come back. I think that the last word isn't said on this case.
In the meantime:
Malaga has agreed to terms with James Gist. He'll sign a 1+1 deal with Malaga.

The deal between James Gist and Malaga will soon be finalized in the upcoming hours/days.
Unicaja Malaga is also finalizing a two-year deal with Zoran Dragic. They are putting a good team together. Jasmin Repesa is doing a good job over there <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
Joe Ingles has played himself into the spotlights of some NBA-teams. But he'll stay in Europe for one year because he wants to finish his contract with Barcelona and after that he'll see what he'll do.

WTH?! Fener is making a superteam...
Of course though, you can't make a team only with money.

And never will!
I hate all of the one-year-tradition-superteams! Like in Man City, Chalsea in football, and Pro Reko in waterpolo! I really have a problem with that <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />
I just hope that divine justice will always prevail over money <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />
