Sometimes this is a sore spot in the world. Sometimes its a sore spot in our own country.....

I would like if possible to get the views of the WORLD about American politics and what is your perception on things.

It can be any number of things...

1) They are money hungry <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thudown.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

2) They are looking out for the American Citizens <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

3) They are power hungry <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thudown.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

4) They are war happy <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thudown.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

5) They are building a better future and foundation for America <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

6) They care about no one else <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thudown.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President George W. Bush said on Tuesday he quit playing golf in 2003 out of respect for the families of Americans killed in the war in Iraq.

“I don’t want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the Commander-in-Chief playing golf,” Bush said in an interview with Yahoo and Politico.com.

“I feel I owe it to the families to be as — to be in solidarity as best as I can with them. And I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong signal,” he said.

Bush said his last round of golf was in August 2003 when he was informed that a truck bomb had wrecked the U.N. headquarters in Baghdad, killing 22 people, including U.N. envoy Sergio Vieira de Mello.

It's all about public image. I wonder if someone actually thought "he cares so much about us" after he said he quit playing golf <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/crazy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Crazy' /> <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

What do you think about American ellection campaign? When hundreds of people stand holding posters in their hands (I don't know how much of them are paid for doing that) and the candidate is telling such things as "We won", " We will not give up" and everyone's favourite "God bless America" etc. And every such phrase is welcomed by a huge support.

Why go that far? If you want to see American politics in all its greatness and how they rig and control votes, look at Ukraine and Georgia...

I'm not sure what you meant by Ukraine, but they have nothing to do with America. It has no relations.

The way I see it, the three <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> 's you had, and there reasons were bullshit.

That's what they want you to think.

So I'm not surprised you don't know about the USA financed 'orange revolution' of Ukraine...

American politics is no worse than most, and much better than countries like China that are damned-near back to being fascist.

People dislike America because they're more powerful than most, its a little unfair if you ask me

Much better than China? How?

And what is fascist according to you? Something like Guandanamo for example? Or the invasion to other sovereign nations like Iraq or Afghanistan?
