Angolan Federation secretary general Tony Sofrimento said the bronze medal is a good sign towards the continuity of Angolan basketball supremacy in Africa. The final intention is to create a follow-up to the already winning senior team.

Sofrimento also emphasised the fact that the U18 NT has already players standing 2.05m and 2.00m+ tall, an enormous plus for the senior NT.

The NT will keep working with the U19 WC on sight and preparation games will be played in Spain.
