I also think that Å aras might retire after all. Well, the clock is ticking.

Both El- Amin or Penn wouldn't be worse than Johnson. Penn is better defender while El-Amin could be one of these important finishers, I would like to see him in Rytas better.

Offical now - El- Amin joined the team, but won't play against Fenerbache tomorrow.

I loved El-Amin at UCONN and followed him throughout his years in Ukraine but I'm baffled as to why he's a better fit than Bojan Popovic? What kind of salary is Popovic looking for?

The answer is very easy: Rytas is not even contacted B. Popovič as they don't want him. The reason is that Popovič couldn't bring that what Rytas needed to get in top 16. That was very obvious in last games of Euroleague's regular season when Popovič couldn't deliver the same numbers as he did at the start of the season and finally V. Ginevičius almost took his place in the team.

IMO, Rytas obviously needed more offensively talented PG, and El- Amin I suppose is even better than Johnson at this point. If he gets in shape, he might be very good option for Rytas.
Real Madrid strengthened their backcourt. They inked a short-term deal with Josh Fisher.
James Gist was fired by the San Antonio Spurs and is now officially a free agent. The former University of Maryland power forward is potentially gain Partizan, now are on the move Partizan and it is possible that Gist sign for Serbian champions, at least until Sunday, as coach of Partizan Jovanovic announced.

Pinkney sucks, he played for Hapoel for part of last season before they released him. He loves shooting long range shots for some reason (he isn't very good at them), can't play in the paint and his decision making is nothing to be proud of.

Also, can you elaborate on the Olimpija situation? Thanks!

Currently is MVP of 1st round euroleague contest!
When his shot is falling he's good. Believe me, don't get too excited yet. Give him a few more games, if he's still putting up big numbers, I'll admit I'm wrong about him.
Nikola Vujcic going to Efes Pilsen.
Allen Iverson will sign for Besiktas.Reported by Yahoo.

2 years $4m. Presumably Besiktas understand what they're getting with Iverson, a hot headed player who is going to control the offense. Iverson couldn't cut it in the NBA last year but I'm curious to see how this experiment works in Turkey. If they let him run the show he might have enough left in the tank. My guess is that they'll part ways by Christmas.
So, Gist officialy signed. Nice, but I think that Lafayet wont be here much longer if he continues to play like this...

Maybe Curtis Jerrells take his place.
Spirou Charleroi signs Daniel Santiago
Unicaja offering contract for Å aras. But the problem is they want him for only two months (to test him I guess).
Not to test him, but until McIntyre returns from injury. Saras already rejected the offer.

That would be interesting. It was a while when some Lithuanian player played for Barsa. Hopefully, it would not be the same story as with TAU.
One of the most promising players in Latvia, Davis Bertans, is close to signing a six year deal (3+3) with Slovenian powerhouse Union Olimpija Ljubljana.Bertans will be loaned to TTHcast Mercator Skofja Loka to acquire experience.
