There is no doubt Delonte West is one of the most reliable point-guard in the National Basketball Association today. However, the off-the-court troubles of West made him lose his chance to be one of the best in the premier basketball league in the planet today. Recently, West was waived by the Minnesota Timberwolves and was suspended by the NBA to 10 games on weapons charges in the state of Maryland. With his latest off-the court trouble, the NBA career of west is put into jeopardy as some NBA teams are not anymore interested to get his services. When West hopes to play in the NBA starts to fade, the Boston Celtics who drafted him as 24th over-all pick in 2004 came knocking his door and re-acquire his services for two more years.

Celtics basketball operations manager Danny Ainge has confirmed that the team has signed West to a two-year veteran's minimum deal. The decision of the Celtics to hire me and give him a new lease of life is great news for West who is hoping for the chance to continue his NBA career. Now that the Celtics gave him another chance to resume his NBA playing career, West has vowed to play harder to bring success to the 2010 NBA campaign of the Celtics. In his career, West has averaged 10 points, 3.7 assists, and 3.1 rebounds per game.

The 6-foot-4 guard should add depth at the shooting guard position, joining Von Wafer as the top reserves behind Ray Allen. West is a 44.6 percent shooter overall for his career and, while his 3-point shooting is average at best, he has a nice mid-range game that should fit well off the Boston bench.
