Rytas: Gecevicius 25, Bajramovic 20, Newley 9 (5 assists), Valanciunas 8 (7 rebounds)

Nevezis: R. Alijevas 22, L.Brazdauskis 12, P. BeliaviÄius 11.

Rytas rotation was reasonable finally, but some players are obviously not in shape, specially Jomantas. Nevezis is competitive team this season while Å½algiris and Rytas had some problems against them. Alievas is nice surprise, he'll have a good season. Rytas got distance when GeceviÄius was playing as a point guard, Johnson might be not enough for Euroleague, he's not very creative even if he can score when it's his night. Too bad Rytas lost Kelys, because 1 position is unpredictable in Rytas.

Å½algiris- Rudupis 80 - 74

Å½algiris: A. Milaknis 16, Kalnietis 13, M. Pocius and Watson 11.

Rudupis: A. Juskevicius 17 (5 rebounds 6 assists), E.Å½elionis 15, G. Orelikas 14.

Rudupis arena is so small and so hot <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' Smile

' /> They have nice young players, two of them belongs to Å½algiris - JuÅ¡keviÄius and LipkeviÄius. They can really play at home. Å½algiris' foreigners seemed to be not motivated or in bad shape, and Å½algiris will obviously need time to find their rotation and rhythm. The game was very intense and Rudupis actually had a chance there. Seems like LKL will be way more competitive this season. I enjoyed both games.

I don't remember when Siauliai lost so badly in LKL (leaving Rytas and Zalgiris aside). Didn't see the game, but that's no good result for Siauliai even in a bad day. They will sign one more big man, maybe they need time, it's completely new team. On other hand, Rudupis is great this season even if I think it was very good day for them. Hopefully, Siauliai will get their rhythm, they will play in Eurocup. Nice to see Janavicius in action in Siauliai for the first time.

If you allow Dainys to score a double-double against you then your defence is very poor, lol. It seems that this might be the season when someone will knock Siauliai off their 3rd position. They need this because it would push them to try to assemble a better team next season. Besides, LKL would be more interesting then.

Good breakdown. On a similar note, on average how much do players on smaller teams earn? I went to a Nevezis vs Sakalai game a few years ago, it couldn't have cost more than 10 Litai for the ticket and there wasn't more than 200 people there. I couldn't figure out how they could afford to pay the players much.

Thanks. Well, it's hard for our teams to attract sponsors because every of them is by Lietuvos Rytas' and Å½algiris' side. Because of that tickets are quite expensive. Many teams have budget about ~700k Litas. Teams like Alytus, Techasas, Naglis-Adakris have smallest amount of money such as 500k Litas. Some other teams (like Perlas, NeptÅ«nas) have budget about 1 million Litas. Å iauliai has a little bit bigger. Ah, forgot to mention that Perlas has 1 million Litas budget because they're second team of Lietuvos Rytas so they pay everything.

So, Lithuanian players here don't earn many money - that's why the most of players in LKL is youngsters and some olds. Players at their best age usually go to foreign countries. Like now, A.Aleksandrovas' made contract with Krivbasket (team from Ukrain), he is 24 years old and he averaged 20points per game last season playing in Alytus.

Å½ygimantas JanaviÄius injured. Too bad because he had couple of great games in Å iauliai, standing as second most valuable player in LKL after few games. Hopefully he won't miss too many games of Eurocup.

The game will be held in Kaunas. Having in mind Å½algiris is having a pretty good start of the season, they are favourites to win this game. On other hand, Rytas is playing better lately and JasikeviÄius' appearance seems to have a lot of energy for the team and fans.

What I dislike about Å½algiris this year is their coach. Despite these victories in Euroleague, Å½algiris had only one damn good game against Caja Laboral. I'm wondering if PetroviÄ is so smart coach and keeps the best players fresh for the second half of the year, or is he so limited and so primitive as he showing right now. If the answer is latter than I wouldn't be disappointed to see TrifuniviÄ giving him a lesson. Whatever that could be, the priorities of PetroviÄ is making me ill literally. I mean to take Collins over Kalnietis is very strange, but might be reasonable, but to keep Milaknis as the main shooting guard while having Pocius and Delininkaitis? The "phenomenon" of Milaknis is mysterious. The guy can only shoot open threes and nothing more (literally) and he's always in the court.

Hopefully it's gonna be a good game, but if not PetroviÄ' style I would say Å½algiris could take it rather comfortably at home. As for now, I think that Å½algiris still can't show it's best because of the coach.

Ironically Rytas played better without him in the last game. Bajramovic can be a good weapon when it's his day, but he never connected well with the team. I don't think this loss is so important. Pocius might not play as well, but his injury is not serious.

Oh well...

What a horrible game for those who expected some fight...

Two good things:

Zalgiris is really strong team this season and I think with some luck they can go maybe even till final 4!

Another relief is ValanÄiÅ«nas and Å aras. Now Jonas has excellent field for stepping to another level. If Å aras will stay till the end of the season, this due might be very powerful in LKL finals.

Bad things:

Yeah, it's not easy to clean the mess after Anzulovic, but Trifunovic is not doing any good. Zone defence is horrible, no smart combination in offense. Once again, Kurtinaitis would look as gold in this situation.

And when it comes to think how many other shooters we miss...players like ButerleviÄius, Bitinas, MaÅ¾eika, Ruikis, Delininkaitis, Sinica, Pocius, Gvezdauskas, Å .Vasiliauskas, Milaknis maybe even Å iknÅ¡nius, Jasaitis, Brazdauskis could make many shots. We have many good shooters...too bad not that much are very good athletic and strong individually.
