Euroleague is thinking to create two separate Final Eight competitions to determine the two teams to be qualified to Euroleague Groups, starting next season.

The main idea is to save money (trips etc) and time (since teams will not be ready to play in September (Eurobasket ends September 18th), so they'll need more days to get ready...
I think the idea is better, as you said it can save money and some of the team in the qualifying round aren't exactly rich (unlike Khimki for example this year) so generally it's a good idea, also could be some nice incomes for the Euroleague, if they'll be smart enough with the locations they can get quite full arenas as long as prices will be sane.
I think they will probably separate them with geographical criteria...
I doubt that will play club from Adriatic. It will be similar like last year two French clubs, one German, one Italian,Russian maybe Belgian. They should try like UEFA.More teams but not from all states.Just from like Portugal,Cyprus,Ukraine..
Last season there was an Israeli team (got kicked out at first round after tough fight with Hemofarm with Macvan starring) I wonder if they'll have an Israeli team this season as well.. Anybody knows when will they announce the teams that'll take place in the qualifying round?
I'm think in June or July maybe earlier.
2012 Final Four in London according to Serbian site.
If Maccabi TA wins the league, there won't be another Israeli team (there will be the Czech champions instead) ... if Maccabi TA doesn't win the league, then the champions will play in the qualifying round.

According to what I've heard Istanbul will get the Final Four (personally I prefer them, so I can go).
Oh ok thanks.

In that case I hope there will be no Israeli team in the qualis <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Biggrin' />
