Ik think Papaloukas wil be a great addition for Maccabi. With his leadership and experience he'll make others players better. I think that Big Sofo will get better because he already played with him, Smith, Scheyer and all the other shooters will get more open looks because of his passing. Theo isn't young anymore but he still has a lot left and he'll show that he still can play and make Maccabi better
A great addition for Maccabi, I always wanted to see him yellow although I did hope it would happen a bit earlier <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Biggrin' />

He could be the thing the separates a championship team and another 'almost', he brings great leadership, unbelievable experience, good court vision and could also help in dealing with Sofo, having another Greek wouldn't hurt that's for sure.
And now "sport5" claims, that Casspi is near to sign with Maccabi, too.
Casspi and Farmar may be too much to handle after the lock out ends.

You just might get the Euroleague's best PG and center from Pap and Sofo at the end of the upcoming season? <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

Very solid signing for Maccabi.

According to Prasini newspaper (owned by PAO BC), PAOK has agreed with Stojakovic to play for them in Vilnius EL qualifying tournament.

Welcome back 'Kinis' !!!!!

Also bring on Maggette, PAOK might just become a Euroleague dark horse <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Cool' />

Well I don't expect him to be the best PG in the Euroleague but I believe that he can still be a top-level role player, he can come off the bench for 15-20 minutes and do his thing, he can average 3-4 apg in these minutes, together with his experience, leadership and smart D that should be more than enough for a 500k player.

Plus, he's f'ing Papalukas <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Biggrin' />
Heh heh, yeah I think he's still got gas in his tank to give Maccabi quality minutes, perhaps however more 15 than 20 <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tongue' /> <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rofl3.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rofl3' />
Omg, with Maccabi and Efes signing everything there is, our group is starting to loose sense... I mean, what chances do the small-budget now have? The gap is bigger than ever...
I can tell you for sure that Pekovic will slaughter us, I can see him recording 25&15 against us.. <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Biggrin' />

And we didnt really spend that much money.. Scheyer is 200k, James is 300k, Farmar is 25k per month (250 in full season), ohayon is around 200k as well, smith is 350k and Papalukas is 500k. Put it all together and you don't even get what Efes spent on Savanovic's buy out <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Biggrin' /> (which if I remember correctly was 1.5m€)
In my opinion, the best transfer so far has been achieved by Partizan. <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

They just signed the best offensive machine(talkning about frontline) in Euroleague. <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

We miss you "Peko"!!! <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Sad' />

Pekovic & Batiste = best centers in europe!!

...imagine that PAO had them together for 2 seasons!!!
Look like Jan Vesely is heading home - source

I can understand 25 (although Pekovic has lost touch with basket since joining NBA, but he was never much of a rebounder...

Well I didn't mean these exact numbers, I just wanted to "emphasize" how dominant he can be against us. One of our biggest weaknesses is big-men defense, James is supposed to help in solving this problem but I still am not sure if he can be a big factor in the Euroleague, let alone against someone like Pekovic
Marko Popović goes Zalgiris. Can' believe Uniks is letting Eurocup MVP go. <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Blink' />
A great signing for Zalgiris.. They're gonna be a tough team next season
Pargo not returning to Maccabi?
It seems like bullshit to me, his contract from what was published only allows his to get out in case he has a contract offer from the NBA, since there is a lock-out it's impossible for NBA teams to offer contracts so I doubt it has anything to do with reality, then again, I wasn't in the room when they signed the contract and I have no idea what they didn't let the media know.
