Let's take a look at the scoring statistical leaders of NT since 1992 to 2010.
Most points:
Player: Games: Points
1 A. Karnišovas 49 820
2 S. Jasikevičius 67 671
3 S. Štombertas 66 667
4 A. Sabonis 32 606
5 R. Šiškauskas 49 588
6 G. Einikis 61 556
7 L. Kleiza 41 500
8 Š. Marčiulionis 22 434
9 D. Songaila 43 405
10 K. Lavrinovič 46 350
11 A. Macijauskas 23 344
Average scoring:
1 Š . Marčiulionis 19,73
2 A. Sabonis 18,94
3 A. Karnišovas 16,73
4 A. Macijauskas 14,96
5 R. Kurtinaits 12,36
6 L. Kleiza 12,19
7 R. Šiškauskas 12
8 L. Kleiza 10,58
9 S. Štombergas 10,11
10 Š . Jasikevičius 10,01
11 R. Kaukėnas 9,67
Some conclusions: hardly anyone will ever have better averages than Sabas and Marčiulionis. Don't you think? And probably Karnišovas as well - almost 17 points, that's huge! Speaking about the amount of the points, Kleiza has good chances to become the leader after few more tournaments (he still pretty young and coming to his peak). Unfortunately Macijauskas could play only 23 games, he obviously is one of the biggest scorers in Lithuanian BB history. Marčiulionis also only 22 games, but at least he had some great victories with CCCR teams. If Jasikevičius would participate in Eurobasket 2011 he would be hard to catch with 75- 78 games.
