Partizan proved they can challenge Maccabi, with 2 close games in the Euroleague but without Pekovic it's gonna be a lot harder

as for Jerusalem they're ranked 7th (1 missing game) with 6-4 record, their coach Kattash resigned.

I'm pretty sure their new arena will be done in 2013.. I don't think that's gonna make that much of a difference as some think, it's not like they're gonna fill it every game. so they'll get some financial boost but once the failures keep coming the new investors will leave and so will some of the new fans bringing them to where they started, just with a new shiny arena

Did they started to built?

Israel basketball deserve one more team in Euroleague <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

After finish of arena they should participate <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Cool' />

Yes they did start building it.

I'm not so sure we deserve another Euroleague team, last 2 seasons Jerusalem got kicked out in Eurocup group stage, they're no longer the team that won that ULEB cup back in 2004, maybe if the new arena will bring investors they might get stronger but as I said, I still doubt they can do something significant in there.. their losing mentality is too strong. we're talking about a team that couldn't reach the Israeli league final in the last 4 years, a team that actually never was the Israeli champion, a team that always collapses after huge expectations to be 'the alternative to Maccabi' and end up being the alternative to Ashkelon or Ashdod <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tongue' /> and all that despite having the 2nd biggest budget in the league.
Maccabi won the Israeli cup after beating Rishon Lezion 82-69 in the final, 39th time in 44 finals.

1 title is ours, 3 to go <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Biggrin' />
According to sport5 David Blu considers retiring at the end of the season.
Maccabi beats Jerusalem 104-100.

Starring for Maccabi- Yogev Ohayon 20 points (3/5 2fg, 3/3 3fg 5/5 ft) 8 assists and 3 steals index rating of 34

Starring for Hapoel- the 3 referees.
Maccabi and Blatt agreed terms for 2 more seasons (with an option for a 3rd season)

Hey "MaccabiTA" do you know anything about Maccabi departure from Adriatic next season?
Maccabi has played like 60 official games so far and Blatt says the team doesn't have enough time to property train, so it sounds reasonable.
And as if it wasn't enough the top 16 will be 14 games instead of 6, so absolutely no way we will stay in 3 leagues, as Blatt said a few times as well.. but the option of leaving the Israeli league exists too, so I wouldn't be so sure we're gonna leave the Adriatic.

I hope that MTA stays in the Adriatic and leave the Israely Bulshit League.
