New fornat in the EuroCup 2013/14.

48 teams which ceperate in 2 ares, west and east.

The western side included Spain, Germany, France, Belgic, Holland and co...

The eastern will be with Russia, Israel, Greece, Yurkey and co...

8 groups wuth 6 teams each, 4 in the west and in the east.

The 3 best team in each group will quallify to the 2nd round (24 teams)+ 8 relegated teams from the 1st round in the EL.

It will be 8 groups with 4 teams each, while the best 2 in each group, will be at the 3rd round, Home&away knock-out games until the winner.
I don't like the geographical divisions. It seems unnecessary.
I'm all in for something as new and different (for Europe) as this. To be honest, I don't know if I'd like that in Euroleague though.

It's interesting.

But it really can be argued that the East-West thing is unnecessary, like @skangles said.

Makes sense to be honest. I just don't think I'd wanted that to happen in the Euroleague. Maybe they're experimenting on Euro Cup (= inferior league), and if they like it and fans like it, they'll do that in the Euroleague as well. I hope not though.
