Quote:Boris Diaw retires from basketball

It seems that Boris Diaw’s career as a basketball player has come to an end. The 2014 NBA champion with the San Antonio Spurs and the Most Improved player of the 2005-2006 season announced his decision in video via Twitter account where he alongside with his old friends and countrymen – Charlotte Hornets guard Tony Parker and former NBA player Rony Turiaf – were sitting on the boat.

Boris Diaw was selected No. 21 overall in the 2003 Draft by Atlanta Hawks. Despite the problems with overweight Diaw was versatile on both ends of the floor.

Diaw was known as a big player with the point guard court vision. He averaged 8.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.5 assists during his time in NBA. His last NBA team was Utah Jazz. During 2017 summer Jazz waved him and he continued his career in Europe. Here Diaw played in Levallois Metropolitans team averaging 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game.
