CZE - Praha snap up duo

PRAGUE (ZBL) - USK Praha have signed American playmaker Lindsay Whalen and France center Elodie Godin on two-year deals.

Whalen, 25, has experience of the WNBA after playing in Connecticut last season and previously played in Europe for Ekaterinburg.

Coach Lubor Blazek said: "She is a player with a lot of experience from the WNBA and European competition.

"We are very happy to have her in our team and I expect from her something of how she played in Connecticut - she is a team player and she can shoot three-pointers."

Godin arrives from French club Valenciennes but spent her best season in Bourges.

Blazek added: "She is a young player and I believe she will help us.

"She plays for the national team but she is still very young.

"She played very well in Bourges and though she didn`t have a very good season in Valenciennes after that, I know her very well and she will be an important player for us."

I looked at the wikipedia page for Nymburk https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basketball_Nymburk.
Very strong team in the Czech Republic. It seems to have no rivals in the Czech Republic. And not only in 2007.
