Quote:The fourth Baltic Basketball League Final Four will be available live online for all basketball fans. In short history of this competition Zalgiris won it once, their arch rivals Lietuvos Rytas lifted the trophy two times and are looking for a third consecutive title.

This is the first time when two Latvian teams qualified for the Final Four. And it is the first time when Siauliai didn’t make it despite the fact that the Final Four is held in Siauliai. Though home fans should not be disappointed and should see some top quality basketball.

It’s already the third big basketball event in the new Siauliu Arena. Lithuanian Basketball Federation Final Four and Lithuanian Basketball League All-Star Day were also hosted in Siauliai.

All the previous finals featured Zalgiris and Lietuvos Rytas. While the same is expected this year, the other two teams could make an upset. Lietuvos Rytas will face FIBA Eurocup winners Barons (Latvia). Lithuanian giants are clear favourites. On the other hand Barons after their recent success and their first European trophy continue making history by qualifying for the first BBL Final Four. Lietuvos Rytas will certainly be motivated to stay the most successful club of BBL. They lost Jackson Vroman due to an injury but both Marijonas Petravicius and Matt Nielsen returned to the line-up.

The other semi-final will be a duel between Lithuanian and Latvian champions. Zalgiris are the favourites especially when ASK Riga are struggling this season. Although ASK Riga and Lithuanian national team head coach Ramunas Butautas is certainly not going to give up and will do everything to produce a shock.

Broadcast of semi-finals, third place game and the final will be available live on the internet.

A nice fourth quarter. Rytas started the game slowly again. They did that against Barons too. It's not that easy to reduce 16 point lead when you play against Zalgiris. But as I said the final minutes were really worth a final.
