Quote:Euroleague Basketball is proud to announce that Euroleague games will be seen again regularly on television in the Philippines thanks to a broadcasting agreement with Solar Entertainment. Twelve Euroleague games will be broadcast during the current season, starting in the Top 16 phase and continuing through the Final Four, on BTV, the 24/7 basketball channel of Solar Entertainment, that was launched in 2006. Every Wednesday at 18:00 and Fridays at 15:00 (on replay), all Philippine basketball fans will be able to witness the best basketball games in Europe through BTV, which can be seen in all the Philippine territory on more than 400 cable operators. With this new broadcaster and the addition of Canal Sur, the local television of Andalusia, Spain, with an agreement starting in the Top 16 phase and reaching until the 2011-2012 season, Euroleague Basketball can now be watched in 169 countries through 54 different broadcasters.
Great news. That should create Euroleague fanbase in Philippines. And since they love basketball the number of viewers should be quite good.
Good move no doubt. They love basketball but know little about the European reality and that'll be a good step.
