Very nervous night tonight with low scores.
Panathinaikos regained its home advantage with a marvelous win over Siena which is simply too one-dimentional for such a high level.
TAU beat Barcelona who did not stand a chance without Navarro.
CSKA became the first team to book their ticket to Berlin, as expected. 7 years in row now I think. Amazing.
Olympiacos 'managed' to score 20 points in the 1st half which is an all-times record low in Euroleague. Real Madrid has the psychology on their side now and will turn the 4th game into hell.

So Partizan is the first team to drop out, I guess their youth and inexperience played some kind of role as well. Even though they lost 3-0, those youngsters have a great future ahead of them and congrats to Vujosevic for a great job with the team.

I honestly wanted Partizan to advance to the Final Four, but CSKA are too good. They had a good run, though, and kudos to them for trying.
I'm disappointed by the low-scoring games so far. Anyone who has watched a lot of the 1/4 final games so far: are the low scores due to great defense or weak offense?

I really think it's great defense, although one thing leads to the other. That tight defense was especially noticeable in the Partizan vs CSKA series of course.

The defence that CSKA is showing is really amazing. I don't like that kind of basketball but it is really impressive the way they can shut their opponents down. If Partizan players managed to hit a few more shots then we might be enjoying another broadcast from Belgrade Arena.
I only saw the first half of Real vs. Oly and it looked like it would be a blow out. It was obvious that Spaniards played with a huge motivation and I was surprised to see that Giannakis's time outs had almost no affect on his team.

Honestly, you should be surprised if the opposite happened <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
