For yet another year I create the same topic, Olympiacos-Panathinaikos Final. some interesting facts:

For the fourth season in a row the title will be decided between the arch-rivals Olympiacos and Panathinaikos. Panathinaikos might have beaten Olympiacos in the three previous encounters (3-0, 3-2, 3-2) but they always had the home advantage.

This is the first time in this decade that Olympiacos had the absolute home advantage by winning the Regular Season and the first time since 1999 when they will face Panathinaikos in the final with a home advantage.

In 1999, Panathinaikos won the title although Olympiacos had the home advantage by winning in SEF in the fifth game of the series.

The last time Olympiacos won the title over Panathinaikos with a home advantage was in 1996. Interestingly enough Panathinaikos had won the Euroleague that year, weeks before the finals, just like this season.

The last time Olympiacos won the Regular Season and went on to win the title too was in 1997, 3-1 over AEK Athens. Since then Olympiacos has won the Regular Season twice but failed to win the title, in 1999 and 2000.

This is the first time since 2003 that Panathinaikos will not have the home advantage in the finals. Panathinaikos have had the home advantage 7 times since 2001.

Panathinaikos has won 5 doubles in a row (League+Cup) while they have won the Cup this season.

All in all, this will be a great series, starting from Thursday night 20:30 CET.
Any news about Å aras in this game and how about broadcasting links? <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Huh' />

Try these channels, one or more should work

If these won't work prior to the game, post here and I'll try to find some last moment channels.

Saras has been training regularly since Monday. He didn't train for a couple of days after the game vs Aris and there were some worries, but seems he OK (?). The major problem was that all Saras, Spanoulis and Diamantides were injured until Sunday, but they will all play tonight.
First two links work fine, the 1st one is some seconds faster. The 3rd link says it will start in 10 minutes while the 4th one requires a password, I ll try to get it.
First works fine. Thanks.

Olympiakos fans tried, as usual, to interrupt Panathinaikos' rhythm by throwing flares, fireworks, bottles etc but it didn't work this time.

The riots are still ongoing in the arena, 15 minutes after the game. Fans are falling from the stands into the arena, several injured.

Crazy stuff...is Batiste kicking the ball in the last picture? And is that a laser on him in the 3rd to last one? Fans went way too far.

Yes and yes.
How can't the league do anything about it? That's already pathetic.

I love the Greek fans' passion, but putting the players in danger is going way too far. <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Sad' />

I hope everybody can calm down for the rest of the series. Poor players worked their asses off to get to such a high stage, only to nearly have it ruined by some dumb fans.

Well, I'd rather see things to be done to change other things of everyday life. As everything in Greece, sports are 'unhealthy'. It is the norm, nothing extraordinary.
for the basketball not good the incident of the first match in olimpiakos stadium...
A simple thing like searching people before they enter the halls would solve many of the problems. I don't understand how people with flares, lasers, explosives, etc are allowed to enter a sports hall.

They do search, but very lightly, if you really want to get something in, you will get it.

They also don't check girls/women a lot, so they can pass whatever they wish easily, for others.
Second game tonight, at the same hour. Try the same links.
Pao completely demolished the Reds...ouch. Looks like this could end in a sweep.

Oh well, this is the real difference between the teams. Yannakis can only dream of coaching like Obradovic. In the last quarter Zeljko put inside Kecman and Sakota just to humiliate Yannakis and Sakota scored 8 points in 2 minutes, lol.

I wish Yannakis stays for as long as possible in Olympiakos and build their new team of the next decade. <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/crazy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Crazy' />

ha, sounds truly embarrassing. So you think the problem of Olympiacos is their coach, and that their roster would be fine with someone other than Yannakis?
