Gameday 1:
Greece blew Serbia away in the first game of Group A in basketball tournament of the Mediterranean Games in Pescara. The final score was 91-70, while at the end of the third quarter the margin was even at 39 points (77-38).
In the other game of Group A, Croatia beat Morocco in a third quarter effort (11-26). The final score was 63-75 for Croatia.
At the same time Turkey was quite as harsh over Montenegro in Group B, beating them 98-61, to be followed by another blowout in the second game of the group, featuring Italy, that beat Albania 106-69.
Gameday 2:
Croatia easily beat Greece in the second game of Group A of the tournament with a score of 82-64 based on a very good first quarter. In the other game of Group A Serbia was down by 8 at halftime, but secured the win in the second half with 77-66.
2 games also for Group B where Italy continued with another blowout, this time over Montenegro with the final score being 107-70 for the Italians.
In the second game Turkey continues to look strong as the beat Albania 96-68.
Gameday 3:
Greece beat Morocco in the third day of the basketball tournament of the Mediterranean Games 2009 held in Pescara, Italy with a final score 96-84. In the other game of Group A Croatia beat Serbia 71-69.
For Group B Montenegro grabbed their first win against Albania, beating the neighbours 92-73. Finally, the second game of Group B needed three overtimes to see a winner and that turned out to be Turkey that beat Italy 121-119.
Quarterfinals are held July 1st and the matchups are the following:
