WTH?! Fener is making a superteam...

Of course though, you can't make a team only with money.

[/quote]

of course not.

however you cant make a F4 team without spending money.

True, no doubt.

You just need a good ratio between money and method.

IMO, everything starts with the coach.

Here and there, some team shows up at the F4 which is cheaper than one player of the richest clubs. So, money is not mandatory, but sure quickens the process.
we all appreciate underdog teams growing with young players. fener tried to do the same but lost couple of young players to nba in last seasons. ömer aşık, semih erden, enes kanter... although semih left nba for efes and of course a big contract.

pianigiani will hopefully install the culture of winning and he previously worked with the players which is promising a good chemistry.

batiste and sato would provide consistency and reliable high caliber performance, something fener lacks.

and of course andersen and bo take team to the next level.

good thing is Fener isn’t just making high profile acquisitions for the sake of making them but they have actually been able to put together a squad with players who have complementary skills, that fit together and should turn out to be a very strong two-way team.

and finally i think money, team chemistry, good coaching, club culture, fans... all have equal shares in success.

He's a good player, I saw a couple of his games last year. He's a good rebounder and defender. Partizan fans are really going to like him

Unicaja Malaga has officialy signed Zoran Dragic to a two-year deal

Sani Becirovic said that he had offers from teams but he said that he isn't in a hurry to sign with a team because he want to keep on getting better day-by-day after the surgery that he had

Real Madrid could lose Sergio Llull to the NBA. Houston Rockets want to sign him.
Malaga lands James Gist

Fenerbahce in talks with Papaloukas.
Olimpija has officially signed Klemen Prepelic to a three-year deal. From what I heard he's a big talent with a bright future predicted for him, even an succesful NBA career. I'm excited to see him play in the Euroleague next year. Good signing for Olimpija <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Panathinaikos has been signed to a couple of Chinese players in the past months but now I'm hearing a new rumor. According to encestando.com and other websites, Panathinaikos wants to sign Chinese talent Guo Ailun.

Here's the situation: a couple of days ago there was a interview with the father of Guo Ailun and his coach. They were saying that Panathinaikos wanted to sign him for next season. But both said that it was better for the player to stay in China and that he would go to Europe next year.

Now we are a couple of days further and the opinions have changed. Now they are saying that the best thing for Guo Ailun's development would be that he goes to Panathinaikos. Before the Olympics the father of Ailun was asked if his son was going to play in Europe. First he said yes and then the answer was no and then again yes.

From what I'm hearing, the CBA( Chinese Basketball Association) is putting pressure on the family of Ailun to keep him in China. The CBA decides if players can move to the NBA or to Europe. Mostly they don't players leave before they are 'ready to play' in a bigger competition.

In case with Yao Ming that was when he was 22 years old. With Yi Jianlian they wanted him to wait untill he was 22 years old but he wanted to go because ' he was ready' ( I hope he finds a good team to revive his NBA career, he has a lots of talent but he can't handle the pressure). If a Chinese player leaves China to play for another team they have to sign a contract where he declares that he’ll come back and play for the National Team.

It is also when a Chinese player wants to declare for the NBA draft that they first have to get permission from the CBA to declare. In case of Guo Ailun, the CBA has said that he’ll have to wait to declare for the NBA draft until he’s 22 years old. I’m curious if he will get the permission to sign with Panathinaikos.

I think that we haven’t heard the last about this case
Crvena Zvezda negotiating with Papaloukas!!! <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Blink' />

Partizan is close to sign Jacob Pullen according to Serbian media.
Crvena Zvezda = shit

I hope they crash and burn. <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bag.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Bag' />

Crvena Zvezda was interested in Papaloukas but Papaloukas turned down their offer. He wants to play for an Euroleague team and he won't consider offers coming from clubs who won't be playing in the Euroleague.

Jacob Pullen would be a great signing for Partizan. He's a good player and he could become a fan favorite but does this mean that Dominic James won't be playing for Partizan anymore?

Curtis Jerrells has signed with Besiktas and Besiktas is also interested in Vladimir Dasic

Real Madrid has offered a six-year extension to Sergio Llull to keep him from going to the NBA

Bilbao wants to loan out Daric Saric. But they have difficulties to loaning him out because he has a high salary and Bilbao only wants to loan him out for one year. Cibona Zagreb wanted to loan him for two seasons but Bilbao doesn't want this. Cibona doesn't want to loan him for one year because of the high salary but they are still considering loaning Saric. Siroki is also interested in loaning Saric.

Alen Omic will sign with Olimpija in the next couple of hours. I can't wait to see him play for Olimpija
Their is an update about Guo Ailun and Panathinaikos.

Guo Ailun has said that his father never said that it wasn't time to move to Greece. The Chinese media came up with this rumor to give the impression that his father didn't wanted his son to leave China. Guo Ailun has confirmed that Panathinaikos agrees with the fact that he would have to play for the Chinese NT when he is called up.

Director of Liaoning Basketball Management Center, WangFang, has confirmed that they are negotiating with Panathinaikos. They have received documents from Panathinaikos, but in order for Ailun to leave Liaoning must give their consent. Liaoning will have a boardmeeting and then they will talk to the coach before make a decision about letting Guo Ailun go to Greece.

But Liaoning also have others wishes before making a decision. The executives of Liaoning want that executives from Panathinaikos come to China. Because Liaoning want to hold a meeting where executives of Liaoning and Panathinaikos can talk face to face. Guo Ailun would also be at this meeting

And if an agreement is reached to let Guo Ailun go to play in Greece than PAO need to pay a transfer fee because Guo Ailun has signed a 5+3 year deal last season. This wouldn't be a problem because Guo Ailun makes less than 20.000 dollars a year.

The positive thing for Guo Ailun is the fact that his uncle, ex China NT coach Guo Shiqiang, and his father are negotiating wiht PAO. But their is one thing that could prevent the deal from happing. Laioning wants to make sure that Guo Ailun gets enough playingtime at Panathinaikos. That is why the executives of PAO have to come to China to talk about this. If PAO can't ensure playingtime the deal is off.

Guo Ailun himself said that he wants to go to a higher level league. He also said that PAO showed sincerity about getting him to Europe to develop him in a better player. Guo Ailun said that he will keep playing for the NT even when he leaves to Greece. He also said that he would respect every decision made by the his club: "I have been in contact with Panathinaikos who have expressed their interest, but I will also have to listen to the decision of the Liaoning Dinosaurs. I will have to respect any decision the board makes, after all they were the ones that trained me. My father never said the time was not right for me to move to Europe. My family supports me"

Stay tuned for an update on Guo Ailun and PAO

In the meantime other PAO news:

Hilton Armstrong has announced on his twitterpage that he'll be playing for PAO next year. He wanted to return to the NBA but he couldn't refuse the offer of PAO. If he plays well at PAO, he could get another chance in the NBA

They have full support from Serbian authority.I heard that government gave 1.5 million euros for Crvena Zvezda budget <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bag.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Bag' />
That seems like a stupid amount of work for Ailun and I don't understand why PAO is pursuing him. I can only assume thar PAO is trying to market themselves to China. Sun Yue was a nice signing but guaranteed playing time is outrageous.

If PAO opts not to fill these roster spots with Greek or European nationals they could very easily find American players that are at the same caliber as Yue and Ailun who wouldnt make these same demands.

Yeah, that's the issue. We just want to expand our market.

We can find equal or better players than him for sure.
Has Sun Yue officially signed with PAO? Because I think he still is playing in China. Guo Ailun has talent but he needs to work hard to improve. I think that playing in Europe could help him improve because the level of competition is better than in China.

PAO can't guarantee playing time to players that haven't proven themselfs yet. I agree with that.

I also agree that there are better players than them but those players will ask for a lot more money. Ailun would be a lot cheaper and PAO will get more money because of the advertising in China. If Ailun plays at PAO, they will establish themselfs in China.

In the meantime:

Caja Laboral has signed Carlos Cabezas. He's a great signing for Caja Laboral, he's a good replacement for Prigioni <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
