Quote:Dense, thrilling, spectacular! The ALLSTAR Day 2010 of Beko Basketball Bundesliga (Beko BBL), which takes place on Saturday 23rd of January, at the Telekom Dome in Bonn, slightly changed its program and thereby became even more interesting for the fans. "We’ve managed to point out the dynamism and intensity of this event even more", says Jan Pommer, Managing director of Beko BBL.

After the arena-doors open at 15.30, the autograph session is going to bet he first highlight of the day, especially for the kids. At 17.00 the top-talents (17-19 years old) of the Junior Basketball Bundesliga (NBBL) show us why we can expect to see them in the Beko BBL or national team in some years. After the Threepoint- and Dunking-Contest it’s about time for the highlight of the day: The ALLSTAR Game starts at 20.30 and is going to be broadcasted live in German free-to-air tv.

The ALLSTAR-players are selected from nine teams in the north, as there are ALBA Berlin, Eisbären Bremerhaven, New Yorker Phantoms Braunschweig, Artland Dragons, EWE Baskets Oldenburg, MEG Göttingen, Mitteldeutscher BC, Paderborn Baskets and Phoenix Hagen and nine teams from the south: Telekom Baskets Bonn, GIANTS Düsseldorf, LTi Giessen 46ers, DEUTSCHE BANK SKYLINERS, TBB Trier, EnBW Ludwigsburg, ratiopharm Ulm, WALTER Tigers Tübingen and Brose Baskets.

In the past 18 ALLSTAR Games the " north-stars " won 16 times, recently in January 2009 in the SAP ARENA in Mannheim.
